Lots of screaming. Lots and lots of screaming. My two favorite parts:

1) The kind of dykey girl who gets swallowed whole by the shark.

2) That hot hunk David Elliott in his tight, wet blue jeans.

Eerie DL moment! I was just watching too! Weird!

But, some idiot switched the channel to Downton Abbey.

I like how the photographer's camera kept taking pictures of the shark.

Weirdly enough, the actor playing Teen Mike Brody quit his acting career after this.

He was so cute!

One of my favourite movies. It’s a great follow up to the original, IMO.

Billy Van Zandt was cute, too!

It was sort of a forerunner of those Friday the 13th movies where teens died grisly deaths/faced mortal danger for having sex.

This movie started my hatred for Avenging Angel.

Not a bad sequel at all. Mike Brody was cute, but couldn’t act for shit.

I hated screechy cousin Jackie. I was very much hoping she’d get eaten by the shark. Instead, it was the nice girl who was kind to kid Sean.

Is Jackie that pug-nose bitch with the bowl cut who was inexplicably cast as some great beauty?

Terminator 2 and Gremlins 2 I think are great sequels.

Aliens is a great sequel.

Half the kids were fired a few weeks into shooting. The girl playing Jackie (Donna somebody) was a quickie replacement.

I wanted to talk about Terminator 2 being the best sequel last month but none of you replied. so, I'm not partaking of this thread in protest.

I wondered why the fuck Jackie was wearing that red velvet (?) jacket out on the water in the middle of the summer

I also thought nerdy Douglas was cute as well as mike.

And I loved chief Brody running around in short shorts in this movie. Loved me some Roy S.!

Douglas was in “Christine” as well.

Ann Dusenberry was also a quickie replacement, she was under contract to Universal at the time. She did a good job conveying her character’s trauma at watching her fuck partner getting devoured by a shark.

There are a million sequels better than this one. It’s crap. But I have a soft spot in my heart for all those cute, wet boys.

I wanted to slap that smart ass little girl on the beach.

I agree it's a great sequel, OP. While the original Jaws is a better movie overall, sometimes I find this one more entertaining the original. It definitely moves faster.

It's very well directed and entertaining.

But Donna's shrieking was so annoying. Didn't someone slap her??

Donna Wilkes was a member of the '70s interchangeable actresses society along with Jessica Harper, Debra Winger and Kathleen Beller. Any of them could have filled in for that role.

Donna Wilkes was a mediocre TV actress. Comparing her to Debra Winger is a tad silly

This movie had some of the best "scared" acting ever.

i watched jaws. It is a pretty timely film.

I actually meet that shark. shows up to meet-n-greets, pretty harmless, non aggressive. Not what you think.

I love Jaws 2. It’s a crap movie but the moist boys, sharp histrionics and nautical scenery make for something that Is 100 times more enjoyable than it should be.

I always refer to it as the Disco Jaws.

I liked the fried fish ending.

I like that you see the shark more in this one. Depending on the day, I would say I even prefer this over the original, which can lag at times. I love when Mike get pelted in the face during the water balloon fight, which he totally wasn't expecting. Love his reaction.

Gary Dubin, who played Eddie, died a couple of years ago from bone cancer.

She left DAYS to make Angel, playing a... Prostitute!

and the best thing about ANGEL was the incredible Susan Tyrrell.

Jaws 2 is still a fun movie to watch.

But I still feel Psycho 2 is the best horror sequel, and, to me at least, better than the first film.

i don't think jaws 2 is better than jaws 1. And the book is better.

The guy who played Mike was on the Brady Bunch. He played Jan's friend Clark Tyson, who had the hots for Marcia.

Mark Gruder, the guy who played Mike, was cute AF. Had a huge crush on him.

Acting against the shark later prepared Ann Dingleberry for her work on Life With Lucy.

Not only is Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan a great sequel it is far superior to Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

R53 too bad they fucked up with the remake.
