I took it in high school (many years ago) and don't remember much about it.
Has it worked for you?
What side effects have you experienced? Is there a high chance of addiction?
I'm thinking of starting it again.

I took it for a few months after a cancer operation. It certainly got rid of anxiety but I didn't like the dis effects. I felt it hit the brain and would go a bit numb and even drool immediately after taking it. That wouldn't last but still. It also gave me constipation. I also thought it made me less creative. Writing is part of my job so that's a problem.

I was on Celexa in my 20's and then could not get an erection, and orgasms felt BIZARRE (it was crazy weird) the doctor said I know what will take care of that and combined the Celexa with a low dose of Buspar- it was unreal- it worked like a charm. (Highly recommend psychopharmacologists- they understand the drugs/ drug combinations better than regular psychs.

Been on it for years. I must be on a low dose because I don't get anything like the symptoms of R1. I find it has a low-key dulling effect. Like I'll go through a stressful event and think back that it would have been a lot more stressful before buspar. But it's not magic.

I'm mostly having anxiety that's making it very hard to sleep.
I tried Seroquel years ago, but even a very low does made me INCREDIBLY tired the whole next day. To the point I couldn't function.

I had severe anxiety in 1997 and Buspar didn't work. Had to go on something else.
In 2005, I had anxiety though not as bad as '97. Went on Buspar and it worked without side affects. The only problem is that it takes four weeks to work like most of these drugs. Buspar is one of the anti-anxiety/depression drugs with the least side affects and it's easy to adjust your dose because the pills can be broken.

Thanks r6.
Did you have trouble sleeping?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 22, 2019 1:23 PM |
Absolutely no problems sleeping, R7. I think R1 is full of shit.

I thought buspar was on one of those class action lawsuit commercials, but it may have been something similar sounding.
Something about gynecomastia...

R6, I'm not full of shit. I honestly reported my symptoms. People react differently to drugs. You sound like a very unpleasant person on or off medication.
