Mitch McConnell: The Man Who Sold America
Great and scary read.
He is truly an evil mofo and this outlines his entire sleazy career right down to the fact that he was a friendless outcast in high school who made a conscious decision to suck up to the popular kids in order to win the school election down to how much money #BeijingElaine's daddy gave him to go easy on China.
Pelosi's seeming decision to run against #MoscowMitch rather than Trump now makes even more sense.

Really, no one read this or had any comments?
He is who we are running against, as per Pelosi.

McConnell is currently the most unpopular Senator in the country according to Morning Consult's Senate rankings last month.
Amy McGrath is running a strong campaign against him, and she was close behind him in a recent poll.
The challenge for the Democrats is that even though McConnell isn't even well-liked in his own state, it's very difficult now for the Dems to win a statewide race in Kentucky.
Back in the 1990's, Bill Clinton was able to win Kentucky twice as President. And in that era the Democrats still had long-term Senator Wendell Ford. But it's a much tougher terrain for Democrats now, so although McGrath has a shot, it's a small one.

Did you read the linked Rolling Stone piece PollTroll? It seems that McConnell only has an 18% approval rating in KY and the people there really hate him.
I say "it seems" though because the article is clearly a hit piece meant to make MMT look and bad as possible

I'm looking at the article now.
Yes, McConnell has a very low approval rating -- as mentioned above, he has the worst approval rating in the Senate according to last month's Morning Consult rankings.
But even though he's disliked by his own voters, he can still win re-election with low approval numbers if the Dems don't get their own numbers up in Kentucky.
Hillary did worse in Kentucky in 2016 than Obama did in 2008 or 2012. It was the worst result for a Dem in Kentucky since Nixon beat McGovern in 1972.
McGrath has built up a good base from her strong Congressional run in the Midterms in 2018, but she will need to get her numbers up higher in order to overcome the boost that McConnell will get from Trump in 2020.

Isn't Hillary a special case though? So many people hated her that they'd have voted for a dead cat (or a failed reality TV show host) instead
Meaning you can't extrapolate anything from her defeat?

It's certainly possible that the next Democratic Nominee will do better in Kentucky than Hillary did in 2016.
But the challenge for McGrath is that she has to campaign against McConnell by persuading some Kentucky voters who like Trump to choose her instead of McConnell.
It's a very different environment than in the 1990's when Bill Clinton was winning Kentucky and when the Dems still had Senator Wendell Ford.
Nate Silver said last month that because of McConnell's unusual level of unpopularity in his own state, he's leaving open the possibility that McConnell could lose. But for now I think you'll see most Senate rankings for 2020 by The Crystal Ball and The Cook Political Report keeping Kentucky as Mitch's to lose.

He's disgusting. Who's his famous feminist scholar first wife? How did he get two women to suck his turtle dick?
