I always loved her on Gilmore Girls. It's not easy playing a character that repressed and stuffy and still giving her a sense of humanity and humor.

Kelly Bishop and her eventual TV husband, Edward Herrmann both won Tonys the same year (1976). I would have been a sophomore in high school at the time.
