His promise to give a Freedom Dividend ($1,000 a month) to 10 families around the country at the start of the debate came across as gimmicky rather than a piece of provocative policy. His line about knowing a lot of doctors because he is Asian was painfully bad -- and furthered dumb stereotypes for no reason.

*Elizabeth Warren: The Massachusetts senator wasn't bad -- she just wasn't super involved in the debate, which is weird given that she is widely seen as the strongest challenger to Biden at the moment. For a chunk of the first hour of the debate, Warren sort of disappeared. Some of that is a function of not getting questions from the moderators. Bernie knows exactly what the devastating effects on trade agreements would have on American workers and he voted against NAFTA, PNTR (Permanent Normal Trade Relations) with China and spoke out against TPP (Trans - Pacific Partnership)

Long before it was acceptable to do it was Bernie who spoke out against these international trade agreements and forecast that jobs would be lost and shipped overseas.. One only has to look at what happened in Detroit with their auto sector to see Bernie was on the right side of history yet again.

Bernie did get it right that is multi-national corporations that dictate what goes into these international trade agreement and those politicians who have been bought off by lobbyists working for corporations then go and vote in favor of these trade agreements.

Bernie has always been in favor of negotiating these international trade agreements to ensure American jobs are protected and the environment is protected.

But then again you can't argue with people who think all the millions of workers who lost their jobs only to see those jobs get shipped overseas because of these international trade agreements is a good thing. The reason is because these people are delusional and you can't argue with crazy.

R585 You are right about Warren's recent conversion.. For most of Warren's life she was a staunch believer in conservatism and was a registered Republican until the age of 47.
