Eugenie Bouchard! Although "great" is a stretch.

Jan-Michael Gambill is out and proud.

Jim Courier is married to a woman.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | September 12, 2019 9:20 AM |
Arthur Ashe who died of AIDS and yet says he got it from a blood transfusion. Yeah totally right. I believe that, as much as Prince.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | September 12, 2019 9:24 AM |
I'm struggling to think of a Canadian "former great" who might fit the bill.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | September 12, 2019 10:40 AM |
Milos Raonic?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | September 12, 2019 10:43 AM |
Grant Connell lives in Vancouver
by Anonymous | reply 11 | September 12, 2019 10:45 AM |
Yeah it's Grant Connell.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | September 12, 2019 11:03 AM |
Doesn't Grant Connell have five kids or something?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | September 12, 2019 11:16 AM |
Federer. Zero doubt about it. Sadly, he'll never stop bearding. Too much money is at stake and he seems comfortable in his arrangement.
Also, Kyrgios pings big time. He's super emotionally attached to Kokkinakis (a gay whore) and to Murray and his insta is full of him and random hot guys. He's the typical down low street trash and I have no doubt that my gaydar isn't wrong in this case.

My friend is absolutely convinced Fed is gay. He is kind of prissy. But what about the Barilla commercials??
by Anonymous | reply 16 | September 12, 2019 12:29 PM |
Bill Tindall
by Anonymous | reply 17 | September 12, 2019 12:30 PM |
Fed is100% gay. He has this mysterious handsome male friends; he's bff with Hugo Jackman and Gavin Rossdale; he loves musicals with a burning passion; he's all swoony over his protégés Sascha Zverev and Grigor Dimitrov - not in a way a straight man would be; he married a plain, supportive wife who will do anything to keep her good fortune; he's a fashionista.
Also, I have this Miss Marple theory that people who look alike and act alike are a lot alike in personality and Fed is the SPITTING IMAGE of one of my closeted but voraciously gay friends.
Also this:

Popsicle?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | September 12, 2019 12:47 PM |
OP obviously meant Glenn Connell who's a former great doubles specialist and lives in Vancouver but his wife and five daughters would suggest otherwise.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | September 12, 2019 12:51 PM |
Greg Rusedski?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | September 12, 2019 6:08 PM |
I knew a Mormon with seven kids who was gayer than Christmas

Jim Courier is not gay- straight, see him wheeling his kid around downtown and practicing uptown. Not at all.
Arthur Ashe contracted HIV from transfusions he received during open heart surgery at age 34 before the blood supply was screened. He had a congenital hyperlipidemia that killed his Dad in his 40s and Ashe himself had angina while he was still and elite player. At terrible terrible tragedy. Arthur Ashe was much more than a tennis player.
Fed is not gay- sheesh. He's a very sophisticated Swiss superstar, totally into his family. His wife is very much the same and like Fed, from an affluent and sophisticated family. Not at all the types to be remotely homophobic. (Fed was the only player to record a supportive message for a presentation on gays in tennis by an out gay tennis journalist.) If you ever watched him up close with his team when practicing etc. you'd pick it up right away. He's a nice and unaffected as can be. Great guy. I shook his hand once at Sporttime on Randalls Island before he was swarmed by kids. He was out there practicing during the Open.
But I sure would like to know who is other than JMG.

Rafael Nadal is deffo gay though, the only time he's seen with his girlfriend is when there are paps nearby or at tennis events.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | September 13, 2019 4:39 PM |
Oh, Charlie. What are you doing.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | September 13, 2019 4:58 PM |
I was kinda excited it might be Glenn Connell but no gay man has five daughters. He'd be out of there after the first.

r23 E.g. I read an old comment from a tennis message board, when the internet wasn't yet as controlled, where the poster, who knew the tennis circuit also a bit on a personal level, wrote that an insider told him that Federer is attracted to men. I read on Wikipedia about a clergy from the home village of his father, who also had the name of Federer, which is not a common name, and not after a job nor I guess a place or a trait, who was put on trial for sexual relations with a 14- or 15-year old boy, or maybe also for more than one. Finding 14- and 15-year olds attractive who are not prepubescent is not perverted, if his main attraction was to people of that age group he had a very serious dysfunction, of course. So, also from that side he might have an inclination towards males, sexuality seems to be genetically strongly influenced. Having twins is more likely with artificial insemination, he has got four children who are all twins. I guess it is okay that having had quite a bit of straight sex, does not suffice as proof nowadays that someone is bi or straight, don't know why gays and gay-bis rely on artificial insemination often, of course when the woman is mainly or only just a surrogate it makes more sense. Artificial insemination can of course also have got health reasons.
His residence in Arabia is a bit suspicious as well, it is easier to have a family in Arabia and the Middle East as a gay man, and there is more tolerance towards sexual relations of adults with young teens than in the Western world, I think. In the elite there has been a lot of statutory abuse throughout history, not that much aimed at rich kids, but still, Federer might have endured that as well, I think Tiger Woods did too, but with him it might have been already as a child and with Federer more or only as a teen, Woods was a good friend of Federer, and I guess is still. Child abuse can lead to oversexualization and other things. He did have long hair when starting out, people who have something big to hide, often have got big problems with going to the hair stylist, and I guess react also as adults often with trauma, also towards stylists who are in the know, when going there; he still has a longer haircut, which involves less frequent haircuts. He did cry a lot when being in tennis academy in his youth, which was boarding, he admitted, so it must have been tough there, I guess also beyond the regular toughness of trying to become a pro et al.
I did read on an older website with gossip, maybe a groupie site, that he does have a small penis, Agassi allegedly has as well.

R27 ... Wait...Federer is a paedophile because he has long hair?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | September 13, 2019 5:13 PM |
r27, step away from the crackpipe.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | September 13, 2019 5:14 PM |
Well this took a bizarre turn...
by Anonymous | reply 30 | September 13, 2019 5:19 PM |
I was all excited to learn about a gay tennis player and instead I learn the most prominent mens tennis player is a victim of sexual abuse/part of a paedophilic conspiracy/has long hair so fucks kids.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | September 13, 2019 5:23 PM |
and he lives in Arabia apparently.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | September 13, 2019 6:57 PM |
I'm not a Federer fan, but I refuse to believe that Roger and Mirka do not have a perfect marriage. Roger would never marry a mere supermodel. He could only marry another tennis player, someone who could truly appreciate his art.
Rafa, of course, has been being rumored to be gay since he joined the tour. I'm a bit surprised that he's finally marrying Xisca.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | September 13, 2019 7:13 PM |
In Spain getting married is really falling out of fashion. I surprised Rafa is doing it. His fiance does seem normal and nice.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | September 13, 2019 8:46 PM |
Rafa is gay or at least bi. That vid of him on the yacht with his buds where he parades his ass in a pink bathing suit, and some guy grabs it, proves it to me. He admitted he has not the first clue about the wedding preparations in Mallorca and never wants to discuss his personal life. The wedding is either a smart business proposition, or Xisca is cool with his being into men, too. Or both.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | September 14, 2019 10:38 AM |
Wasn't Chang also gay. I mean Courier and Chang, weren't they together at one time?
by Anonymous | reply 36 | September 15, 2019 2:21 AM |
Rafa is neither gay nor bi.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 15, 2019 2:27 AM |
I just had a picture in my mind of Jimmy Connors doing it with Jeff Stryker. Yummm.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 15, 2019 2:29 AM |
Being an athlete never excuses poor fashion sense!
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 15, 2019 2:33 AM |
Young Rafa flaunting his junk (esp to Pico).
No gay vibe here!
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 15, 2019 10:59 AM |
Nah, Rafa is not gay. Remember how he was staring at some court assistant girl's tits? That was pretty genuine
