How much exercise do DLer's do?

Doesnt have to be in the gym! Can be anything that gets your heart rate up a bit or makes you breathe had, be it a fast walk around the neighbourhood. I try to do at least an hour a day, sometimes manage 2-3. Swimming and cycling mostly, but also running up and down the stairs to work (I'm 9 floors up). Sedentary job, so I need to do something to offset that

Can't we talk about something else?

Exercise is bunk. If you are healthy, you don't need it: if you are sick you should not take it.

Do more exercise. It helps control your emotions, amongst others.

Thanks R3 for bringing this back to life unexpectedly

R4: the anxiety level on DL these days seems to be going higher and higher, with no sign of calming down. That’s why I think doing more exercise/Qigong might help with everyone’s state of mental health.

I average around 4 hours per week from strength training, sports etc.

I hate exercise, HATE it. I've quit every gym I've ever joined.

But I do love to walk, and now that I'm retired (63), I walk about 10,000 steps a day (~5 miles), every day to and from Central Park and around the reservoir. So far, it's kept my weight in check but I don't know what I'll do when the weather gets cold.

Since I am working from home, I try to use my treadmill 45 minutes to an hour at least 5 days a week. Remember, obesity is a major cause in having a not so good outcome with COVID...

Any exercise is good exercise R7. The secret is to find something you enjoy, and to keep doing it. Obviously walking works for you, better than the gym. Central Park is beautiful, I remember walking around it when I was there

R8 good point about the COVID

Now or in the before times?
