Somebody’s lying. Either men were always having gay sex and keeping it a secret, or people are more in touch with that side of themselves/open minded (now that it’s not such a taboo) or there’s way more gay/bi/fluid/whatever people than we were led to believe. Or it’s just for ego stroking? I’VE BEEN LIED TO, AND I FEEL DUPED!
Awful lot of guys on Grindr and Scruff

The first time I logged on Grindr, my first thought was that all men within half a mile from me must be gay.

If your incoherent post is a reference to all the "straight" guys who post there, OP, well. Calling yourself "straight" is a good way to get laid, even if you're ugly.

What exactly is your question, OP?
Try to think, then type.

The numbers don’t add up, is what I’m saying. It seems like a good chunk of the population. But then everybody’s like: Gay? Who? What? Never heard of it! Not me.
Weren’t we told 1 out of ten or something? And there’s more who aren’t even on the apps!
Lies, lies, lies.

Lots of people want gay/same sex. Lots. Blowjobs, a good f*ck, deep tongue kisses, hell, anything from someone of the same sex or gender or some combo that isn't strictly hetero. You don't even need to sign onto Grindr, Scruff, just walk down the street or go to mall bathroom, etc. No matter what identity many people call themselves, they will sleep with anything human with a pulse. So long as they're 18+ and can consent, what's the biggie?

OP is so naive and gullible, and she has no clue about app embedded BOTS?
The phrase "there's a sucker born every minute" is so true.

Never seen a bot on Grindr.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 26, 2019 5:45 AM |
You should check how close they are to you OP. The nearest guy could possibly be miles away.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | August 26, 2019 5:49 AM |
They don't post a pic of their code, r7.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | August 26, 2019 5:50 AM |
R9 So they're just there and do nothing? Bots are supposed to spread automated messages. What do Grindr bots post?
by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 26, 2019 6:00 AM |
Don't you need to be a premium costumer to see guys who are miles away?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | August 26, 2019 6:01 AM |
^. Not on Grindr. Some choose not to show their distance but it’s easy to figure out by looking at the nearest profile with distance.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 26, 2019 6:07 AM |
R11. I read you question wrongly. You get a limit of say 100 profiles closest to you. If there’s no gay guys in your town, it will post profiles from the next town.
I was in Asia early one morning before Grindr was popular and I picked up profiles from the neighboring country.

I'm pretty sure I'm only allowed to see guys who are 600m from me (I'm non-American). So is that different for Americans?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 26, 2019 6:12 AM |
R13 Oh, OK.

All dating and sex apps have planted profiles. Profiles to keep you swiping and convince you that there are hot guys in your dunk little trailer park just waiting for you.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | August 26, 2019 6:52 AM |
I tried Grindr and Scruff and there were literally no guys within 60 miles of me, I live in a town that's in a very rural area but still, needless to say, I deleted them both.

Gay is more mainstream and so it's easier for closeted men. That said, my personal belief is that 90% of men have always been ok with same sex fun.

Yep. Remember when Ashley Madison got hacked and it was revealed that something like one percent or less of the supposed 'millions' of female users there were actually real and active? Most were bots or fake accounts of one sort or another. Very few actual women were on the site interacting with the men. There's are scam-like elements involved in all of these types apps and sites. Gotta keep people hoping, or they won't stick around.
