Ham bone actress. I was appalled when they got rid of the divine Joanne Dorian for this creature.

by Anonymousreply 1August 25, 2019 7:39 AM

Joanne Dorian was FIRED!

by Anonymousreply 2August 25, 2019 8:19 AM

Where are all the Llanville Trolls?

by Anonymousreply 3August 25, 2019 4:16 PM

^^Sorry, Llanview

by Anonymousreply 4August 25, 2019 4:23 PM

I miss Vikki, terribly.

by Anonymousreply 5August 25, 2019 4:48 PM

RARE video of Erika winning her first Emmy in 1984 and her acceptance speech - go 12 minutes into video

This rare because the ceremony WAS NOT televised.

Here she starts discussing her nemesis, Robin Strasser! (who she apparently adores....)

It's a wonderful interview.

by Anonymousreply 8August 25, 2019 11:29 PM

They cut the parts where the interviewer praised Kathy Glass and Erika gave stink eye.

by Anonymousreply 9August 26, 2019 6:18 PM

Bump for Tina

by Anonymousreply 10August 26, 2019 6:59 PM

Sorry for the poor quality

R9 Other than on datalounge NO ONE remembers or cares about Kathy Glass.

by Anonymousreply 12August 26, 2019 11:25 PM

The kathy Glass troll does.

by Anonymousreply 13August 27, 2019 6:57 PM

They got poor Strasser a terrible wig on DOOL. Oh well, she looks pretty good otherwise. She's aging much better than Slee.

Is there any proper footage of her in the role?

R18 I think that is my favorite line she delivers yo Dorian!

by Anonymousreply 19August 30, 2019 1:53 AM

Is she going to be on Blue Bloodsagsin?

by Anonymousreply 20September 13, 2019 9:52 PM

R20 yes she's coming back to play Tom Selleck's grandmother.

by Anonymousreply 21September 24, 2019 3:44 PM

It appears Jenn Rappaport is a crazy bitch in real life.

Is anyone watching DOOL with Robin Strasser? Fun scene between her Vivian and Eve where they invoked the name Dorian. Was a nice treat for OLTL fans.

by Anonymousreply 23September 26, 2019 2:22 AM

As a young stage actress, trained in The Classics - 1968

R22 Damn! I hated her on OLTL.

by Anonymousreply 26September 26, 2019 3:06 AM

R26 Yeah, I preferred her brother Will.

by Anonymousreply 27September 26, 2019 3:22 AM

I liked the Rappaports! Will was a great character and bad girl Jenn had her moments. Lindsay was by far my favorite. Liked Sam and Todd dynamic.

by Anonymousreply 28September 29, 2019 5:22 PM

It was my boyfriend who introduced me to her. I don't even watch Soaps, but I know a legend when I see one.

by Anonymousreply 29September 29, 2019 5:32 PM

My God Slezak was a ham. Six emmys? She should give them all back.

by Anonymousreply 30September 30, 2019 8:43 PM

If you have a Roku, you can find The Joan Rivers Show on several apps, such as the Roku Channel and Vidmark. There is one episode celebrating OLTL's 6000th episode, she had as guests Erika, Clint Ritchie, Phil Carey, Patricia Elliot, Karen Witter, Michael Storm, and Marilyn Chris. Ivana Trump is also interviewed as she was the special guest star on the 6000th episode.

by Anonymousreply 31October 8, 2019 12:59 AM

I don't like her atall.

by Anonymousreply 32October 8, 2019 1:56 AM

Karen Witter was a great Tina recast!!! Wish they could have kept her longer in the role...

by Anonymousreply 33October 9, 2019 11:12 PM

Slee did not like Karen Witter.

by Anonymousreply 34October 9, 2019 11:13 PM

Did Slee like Andrea evans? Jessica Tuck? HBS?

by Anonymousreply 35October 9, 2019 11:22 PM

Karen Witter (Tina #4) was Miss March, 1982.

I wonder if, while she's not a superstar, this makes Witter Playboy's most successful centerfold? (Not counting those who were actresses to begin with.)

Slee didn't like anyone who stole attention from her.

by Anonymousreply 37October 10, 2019 1:12 AM

oh my goodness! jonnysbro, jerry, and eboneece have finally made their grand returns to soap opera network (son). it is a sight to behold. they have had several accounts for years because they knew the day would come when they would need to make a dramatic reentrance into the soap boards. it makes my day to watch them make the son posters go insane. one of their names, dona, is actually making some posters go bezerk.

How dare you impugn her reputation!

wish they'd bring back OLTL

Me too so ME and RoHo can get the hell out of Port Charles

Poor Robin. Her DAYS stay seems to have not been a very successful one.

by Anonymousreply 46October 18, 2019 4:30 AM

R46 It isn't necessarily that it wasn't a success, she was always just a fill in because Louise Sorel was unavailable for this run of the character.

by Anonymousreply 47October 18, 2019 4:39 AM

R42 Judith Light so much more subtle and effective in that scene with La Sleestak than she was in the hysterical and over-the-top courtroom scene, which apparently they still use today in some acting masterclasses.

by Anonymousreply 48October 18, 2019 4:44 AM

R48 The courtroom scene was the climax to a story that had been going on for at least a year or more. Many storylines came crashing together in that one scene and although it may seem over the top, I think it was an emotional release for the characters and the audience. The testimony started so controlled and slow you wondered if it was all going to come out the way it did. I see why it is shown in acting classes.

by Anonymousreply 49October 18, 2019 10:18 AM

I took an acting for television class at a now defunct acting academy just outside of Rancho Mirage and we watched that Karen Wolek courtroom scene multiple times along with various poignant sequences from Stone Pillow featuring Lucille Ball and Daphne Zuniga.

by Anonymousreply 50October 18, 2019 11:54 AM

I know a few years ago that scene was part of a class at MIT

by Anonymousreply 51October 18, 2019 4:00 PM

We had to watch it in my drama appreciation elective.

by Anonymousreply 52October 18, 2019 9:03 PM

Judith light wouldn’t come back for the OLTL final episodes!

by Anonymousreply 53October 18, 2019 9:19 PM

R53 As I understand it they wanted her to be the parent of someone on screen and she didn’t like the story, but I could not be remembering correctly. I know she rejected whatever they wanted Karen to do.

by Anonymousreply 54October 18, 2019 11:39 PM

R54 Yes, the retcon was going to be she stole cousin Jenny's baby (or whatever that story was) and that Aubrey Wentworth would have been Karen's daughter.

I'm sure OLTL wasn't paying nearly enough for Light, and she would have wanted 80s money and a bigger story, neither of which were available for her.

by Anonymousreply 55October 19, 2019 12:17 AM

I honestly can't imagine Light playing the mother of Terri Conn, so absolutely understand why she would have passed.

by Anonymousreply 56October 19, 2019 4:00 AM

R50 You're joking, right? I fell out of my chair. An acting class in Rancho Mirage? Stone Pillow? It's almost plausible. But I can't stop laughing. I'm hoping it's true.

by Anonymousreply 57October 19, 2019 8:04 AM

And I think I remember the storyline had something to do with Herb because they wanted Anthony Call as well. My memories might be faulty. I also think she really wanted to make an appearance but what they wanted was just too off for her. She always praises OLTL so I am pretty sure she was willing.

by Anonymousreply 58October 19, 2019 4:24 PM

Thanks Vickerman! Why didn’t we see daddy David pursue a Broadway has been twink or even a Ford brother nope they tried to see us David wanted Dorian’s dried up prune!

by Anonymousreply 59October 19, 2019 6:50 PM

R59 The character of David Vickers was established as a straight horndog. Just because the actor came out it didn't mean that David changed. Plus, the David and Dorian pairing was one of my favorite couplings on OLTL.

by Anonymousreply 60October 19, 2019 8:35 PM

David was believable in the beginning (late 90s) but by the end he was so absolutely flaming on-screen that any scene with a woman was a joke.

Other than Roxy, maybe.

He should have fucked ALL of the Ford boys.

by Anonymousreply 61October 22, 2019 4:38 AM

The director should have reigned both Tuc and Robin Strasser in. Both went way over the top in the final years of the show. Both were capable of great work but needed direction to keep things more restrained.

by Anonymousreply 62October 22, 2019 9:46 AM

have you guys been paying attention to SON lately? you heard it here first that jonny was making a glorious return to that board. this time he claimed to be a woman obsessed with Reva Shayne and who had plastic surgery to look just like her. It drove the regulars nuts. Pure stroke of genius if you ask me.

but nothing is driving SON more crazy than the new nut job Donna. Lol she is a plant who jonny convinced to join that board

by Anonymousreply 63October 22, 2019 6:11 PM

the ford brother with the tit problem is on an episode of season 2 insatiable
