Has anyone traveled to this exclusive magical playground? It looks divine.
In Costa Cayeres all seems to breathe freedom and peace, and to make one forget the world and its sad turmoils.

Yes and it’s lovely but very quiet and low key. Good choice for a romantic vacation with your husband or to rent a villa a bring a big group of friends for a “house party”.
Not so great if you are single traveling alone, or if you need a lot of restaurants and night life even as a couple.
Costa Careyes attracts many “regulars” that come back every year. If you’re lucky you’ll make new friends and get invited to some really great dinner parties in someone’s private villa.

R4 does not know of what he speaks... at all.
Costa Careyes is more than 100 miles away and an almost three hour drive south of Puerto Vallarta. The nearest commercial airport is Manzanillo which is about an hour away. But many in the Careyes crowd arrive by private jet on the nearby airstrip.

This article is from 2006 but could have been written yesterday. Not much has changed and Careyes is still pretty much the same as described and with the same crowd, but along with some younger people now discovering it.
