If it’s been like this for more than 6 months, it will not get better; only worse. Trust me. I suggest start looking for a new job, whether it’s in another department or with another company. You spend too much of your life at work to be miserable that much.

I thought about you today OP as I am in the same boat. I am hoping to get a transfer to another department where I can work with grown-ups. It would be a welcome and much needed change.
