Gum surgery....need recommendations on what to eat

Just had laser gum surgery. I was told to avoid crunchy & spicy foods. No seeds, no nuts. I need to eat nutritious soft food like eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, ice cream.....

Any ideas would be helpful thanks.

Hummus

Protein shakes with fruit

Steel cut oatmeal

I had gum surgery a while back. Drink lots of Ensure. Soft pasta works, too.

Are tomatoes out of the question? I was going to have some bruschetta on some soft bread.

by Anonymousreply 3August 20, 2019 2:28 AM

OP, how about eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, and ice cream?

by Anonymousreply 4August 20, 2019 2:28 AM

I was looking for a little more variety and sometimes this forum gives good ideas. No need to be a dick.

Sucking dick brings blood to the gums and hastens healing. Jizz is high in protein.

Nothing vigorous. Therapeutic fellatio.

Are you retarded?

Mashed potatoes

Black beans

Cous cous

I don’t eat eggs so I feel your pain. If I got that list, I’d be shit out of luck.

by Anonymousreply 9August 20, 2019 2:59 AM

Did this surgery expose more of your teeth to make your smile less “gummy”? I’m genuinely curious.

Was it expensive?

Drinking Ensure is very important because it supplies the nutrition you might miss from foods you can't eat right now.

by Anonymousreply 11August 20, 2019 3:02 AM

Baked cod with mash potatoes are a great choice with the vegetables of your choice. This is a great excuse to have a lot of different fish. I think you’re probably OK with something like mild stewed tomatoes as well.

by Anonymousreply 12August 20, 2019 3:05 AM

But I don't like fish or eggs or vegetables or pudding or yogurt or ice cream. I need variety!

People think they're going to become malnourished if they eat soft foods for a few days.

R3, Tomatoes are too acidic. I'd avoid all citrus fruit.

Bananas, slightly overcooked mac 'n cheese, applesauce, cheese sauce over toast, rice with cooked vegetables and chicken, rice pudding, flan, meatloaf. OK to load up on carbs as you won't have much of an appetite anyway.

by Anonymousreply 15August 20, 2019 3:22 AM

sweet potatoes, very nutritious

by Anonymousreply 16August 20, 2019 3:23 AM

Dick, lots of dick.

by Anonymousreply 17August 20, 2019 3:24 AM

Did anyone mention Jello with Cool Whip?

by Anonymousreply 18August 20, 2019 3:27 AM

Gazpacho might work. Hummus of course. Risotto. Possibly sushi.

R10 I had LANAP surgery in half of my mouth. I do the other half next week. This link should explain it better than I can.

Yes it’s pretty darn expensive. But I got on a payment plan that’s doable.

All sandwiches if no seeds, of course. You cut it up into small pieces.

I had the surgery ( I grind my teeth) and the soft foods didn't last too long. Also, no straws so no sucking dick. At all. That is a no-no.

Whole foods sells this delicious little yogurt type dish imported from France. The name of it escapes me but they are sold in 4 packs and are flavored with fruit. They are not sold with the other yogurts though, they are near the cheese.

Polenta. Though it's a bit of an acquired taste.

by Anonymousreply 23August 20, 2019 3:44 AM

Cornbread with buttermilk!

by Anonymousreply 24August 20, 2019 4:05 AM

Crave Brother mascarpone cheese. So damn delicious. Just eat it from the container with a spoon.

Campbell's tomato soup.

I've had gums surgery and have had my wisdom teeth pulled out, 4 surgeries all counted.

Baby food! It’s nutritious and delicious!

by Anonymousreply 26August 20, 2019 4:13 PM

Bananas. Tea. Broth is awesome by itself.

I know it's trashy, but Ramen Noodles / Cup O' Noodles are soothing when I'm sick.

by Anonymousreply 27August 20, 2019 6:46 PM

Matzah ball soup

by Anonymousreply 28August 21, 2019 1:37 PM

OP, you listed everything they suggested you eat and now you're hating R4 for your own words, how dumb are you

by Anonymousreply 29August 21, 2019 1:40 PM

I second baby food. But as a snack.

by Anonymousreply 30August 31, 2019 4:21 PM

Cooked eggplant, squash and zucchini

by Anonymousreply 31August 31, 2019 4:55 PM

Get a good blender, and liquefy everything. Chicken will still taste like chicken!

by Anonymousreply 32August 31, 2019 5:21 PM

Sounds gross R32
