"Otherhood" all I can say is WTF???
Just watched Otherhood on Netflix with that infamous college cheater Felicity Huffman. Has anyone else seen it?
All I can say is that the movie is so corny that I wonder why the film was made.
The brightest spot was Sinqua Walls, an absolute hunk of a man playing the son of Angela Bassett.

The husbear and I sat down to this after a lovely dinner on the terrace last night.
He lasted half an hour and left. I stayed to the bitter end. The three leads are all talented actresses, and each executive produced this thing.
I'm embarrassed for them. It was beyond dreadful.

NETFLIX !!! We have all the mediocre entertainment you'll ever need

Felicity Hoffman face was distracting because it could not move due excessive plastic surgeries. Her frozen face is the real star of the movie. It had all the pc crap, the unemployed jewish son, the gay son and the black son that dates white girls that are minors.

So do we think this is Felicity's last dance? Or will she recover from the cheating scandal? They emptied a tank of Botox into her it appears. It was a truly stupid storyline and a waste of a couple of good actresses (and I'm not talking about Felicity)
Best stupid line, by the gay son's boytoy: "I'm window dressing for a window dresser."

Netflix really is getting horrible. Their 'productions' tend towards suckage these days.

It had some funny moments. Angela Bassett connected with the material. Her story was the best of the 3.

Patricia arquette seems to be the only one at ease with the material. The other actress seems awkward.

How is a Felicity Huffman project marketable?

The plot sounds like a fraufest. Mothers who built their lives around their kids - only to realize the kids actually are independent people who don’t owe them shit on “Mother’s Day” for their choice to have them so they can have a sense of purpose. Serves those bitches right to be left alone on Mothers Day to contemplate the narcissistic basis of motherhood.

The gay son was played by a truly terrible straight actor, sporting a greasy ponytail that no gay man has ever worn, not ever.
It was so bad it bordered on homophobia. But perhaps that would be taking it more seriously than it deserves.

The movie would make a lot more sense by adding the tagline "Otherhood: A Lifetime Movie Parody". They also tried to get a little bit of "First Wives" homor into it and SPOILER ALERT Felity's character is stalking her granddaughter and one of her baby mamas (yeah, the gay son gave his sperm to a lesbian couple). It was a pleasant surprise to see Beckie Newton (from Ugly Betty) again though. And Molly Bernhard (from Younger) makes a cameo appearance.
Otherhod is hardcore, mug cradling frau porn. But then I am a sucker for that sort of thing on a Sunday morning.

The guy who played the gay son was AWFUL in the role. In all of NYC they couldn't find one actor, straight or gay, who could play a realistic gay man in 2019? WTF? Pathetic. The Sex and the City writer really must have recently gotten out of a mental hospital or long term rehab to write this time warp dribble. It was a frau embarrassment of riches.

Felicity (in some of the scenes) had so much added hair on her head I thought she looked ridiculous.....
Adding Mario Cantone as the one note bitchy queen didn't help capture reality either.

I liked it.
Felicity fucked up her face with the surgery. I don't know why she had any. It's not as if she was ever a beautiful woman so it wasn't about clinging to her looks. She never had any.
Patricia is fat but not as fat as I thought she'd be considering all the media attention about her weight recently (hadn't seen her in anything in years).
Angela was Angela.

I guess only Angela is promoting this schlock because Felicity is still maintaining a low profile because of the college scandal.

Is Felicity is supposed to be the sexy, glamorous one of the three?
Now that's what I call acting. Oh, my sides!

Debra Messing would have been a better choice than Felicity

My family was watching this the other night and i could not stop staring at Felicity's face. Like i didn't even realize it was her at first. I'm glad Sinqua got to work with Angela though.

Felicity's character was supposed to be hot. There's a scene of the adult boys talking about her character's tits and, as boys, thinking she was hot and the guy who plays her son is all "guys, can we stop talking about my mom's tits?". It's kind of interesting that it was Angela Bassett's character that got the cougar treatment by coming out of her shell while Felicity got the epiphany that she's the lucky one having a devoted husband at home.
I think the movie is along the lines of "The Book Club" and "Poms" which was famously dissed by Anjelica Houston. Old frau empowerment entertainment.

Felicity was very sweet when working with her and her daughter to get her application approved for a top tier college. Her check cleared right away and she could not have been sweeter about everything.

Jake Hoffman is too fucking cute. I saw him in something else not long ago... He checks all my boxes in the looks department.

Was Becki Newton the first blind date? She was easily the best thing about this otherwise horrible movie.

Two of the kids live in $1,000,000++ places in Manhattan?
One was explained because an old queen owned it, but the black guy's place was WAY TOO expensive for his job.

Why didn't Angela call out her son for only dating and photographing white women?
It seemed as if him dating the woman at the end was in response to that criticism, but the criticism was never made.

The part I didn't understand is when the 3 women got drunk and fell asleep on the hotel bed, when the sons came in Felicity Huffman's character got up fully dressed yet the 2 straight sons swooned over seeing her boobs but she was fully clothed?
