That would be the lesbian duet she did with Dusty Springfield "I Just Fall in Love Again"

Thx for posting R2. Dusty's voice isn't what it was, but Dusty is Dusty. And what a lovely song.

Wow, OP she looks a LOT like post-plastic surgery Kenny Rogers in that vid

Did she ever cover "My Neck My Back"?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | July 31, 2019 10:26 PM |
I used to sing "You Kneaded Me" to my old cat.

Love Anne Murray

John Lennon said her version of "You Won't See Me," was the best cover version of a Beatle song.

Why are you asking me this? I AM NOT A LESBIAN.

Well, r13, I’m a gay man and I love Anne. Here’s another favorite, Broken Hearted Me:

I never realized I knew so many Anne Murray songs...and I love 'em!
by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 1, 2019 7:35 PM |
Anne's first #1 on the country chart, in 1974 (and the flip side of "You Won't See Me"), was "He Thinks I Still Care," a cover of a George Jones tune.

Remember when Family Guy's Stewie fell in love with Anne Murray and then freaked out when he found out she doesn't write her own songs?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | August 2, 2019 2:31 AM |
I hate that cunt.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | August 2, 2019 2:33 AM |
I voted for "Snowbird", her first big hit. I guess her biggest-selling record (and only #1) was "You Needed Me". " Broken Hearted Me " was great, too, but her version of "I Just Fall In Love Again" was far inferior to Karen Carpenter's version.

I've always thought she might be singing this song to a woman. It's very pretty.

I loved Now and Forever (You and Me). It's so 80s, especially the video - the clock, the drafting table, Anne's hot pink outfit. The guy's cunty girlfriend is every DLer. The chemistry between Anne and the guy makes the video even colder than it looks.

I'm a Canadian and "Snowbird" her very first hit single is my favorite song by Anne Murray and she is my all time favorite Canadian singer. It was one of the first records that I ever bought. She was the first Canadian female artist to receive a gold record, which she did for Snowbird which sold over a million copies.

You Needed Me will always remind me of Morgan and Kelly on Guiding Light. But my favorite is Shadows in the Moonlight, it's got a catchy chorus.

I love the songs where she licks pussy

R4 Dusty's voice sounded great to me in that song!
Anne Murray wanted to include Dusty Springfield in her Duets album but her estate said "no" so Anne Murray contacted them personally and they relented and said "yes", hence the both of them singing I Just Fall In Love Again.

She's a meaningless singer. No inflection or feeling whatsoever. Weird what old men like. Her contralto has a nice tone, but her singing is choppy and emotionless. She's a complete robot. Listen to Gladys Knight or Annie Lennox or Karen Carpenter or Adele if that is the resonant tone of voice you prefer. They interpret and SING songs. Singers are supposed to evoke feeling. Anne Murray. Fuck man. Listen to the great KD lang instead. Anne, Buble, Tony Bennett and Cohen all showed up for her. In Canada. Anne Murray was very lucky. UGH. Danny's song. One nice tune, done better by OG.

I love her album with Glen Campbell.
Love this mixing of I Say a Little Prayer/By the Time I Get to Phoenix.
Love their voices together.

^ R28 is 92 years old. White.

Ugh.

R26, compare it to here. BTW, this vid should be required viewing for every gay boy everywhere.

I love Anne Murray but her remake of The Monkees "Daydream Believer" was manufactured and ugh. Not one of her better hits.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 4, 2019 1:23 AM |
they don't call her bland murray for nothing
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 4, 2019 1:28 AM |
R33 She wasn't bland but rather, laid back and had a honey like soothing voice. I love her beautiful version of Danny's Song - almost sound like a hymn.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 4, 2019 1:33 AM |
Why no "Broken Hearted Me" in the poll? One of her better hits, and I'm not a big fan of hers.
R32 is right. Horrible remake.

Could I Have This Dance was beautifully done. It was supposed to be a duet with Kenny Rodgers but when they heard Anne's recorded track they liked it so well that they decided to release it as a solo hit by her.

She's one of the zillions who covered "Both Sides, Now." How original and daring of her, eh?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 4, 2019 1:51 AM |
I liked “Scissor Me in the Morning “
by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 4, 2019 2:06 AM |
I like that one where she sings: “It’s fun to eat at the Y-Shaped Buf-fet!”
