You're cleaning out your deceased mother's freezer. Wait a minute, is that a baby corpse?

"Salisbury Steak Deep Dish pie:"

What a waste of good pie.

by Anonymousreply 1July 30, 2019 2:32 PM

So he grew up in the house and never got hungry for some frozen cake?

by Anonymousreply 2July 30, 2019 2:38 PM

Yeah, like why wouldn't he have looked in the MYSTERIOUS FORBIDDEN WHITE FREEZER BOX before? I'm guessing the sister got the brains, and then was frozen with them.

by Anonymousreply 3July 30, 2019 2:57 PM

That bitch was hardcore! All I kept was a wedding cake!

by Anonymousreply 4July 30, 2019 3:15 PM

Do you need to thaw before cooking?

by Anonymousreply 5July 30, 2019 3:17 PM

R3 It's like a scene from White Bird In A Blizzard in which teen Shailene Woodley finds her missing mother Eva Green's corpse in the locked freezer after mommy made the mistake of walking in on daddy Christopher Meloni fucking some twink.

by Anonymousreply 6July 30, 2019 3:20 PM

This happened to me but I wasn't such a drama queen about it. I'm tired of people over-reacting.

by Anonymousreply 7July 30, 2019 3:22 PM

Damn! A freezer. Props to the lady. Great solution.

by Anonymousreply 8July 30, 2019 3:24 PM

^good heavens!

by Anonymousreply 9July 30, 2019 3:25 PM

Presumably she had had least three or four refrigerators in 47 years, so she moved it all those times? And never had a power outage and had to throw everything out?

by Anonymousreply 10July 30, 2019 3:47 PM

There's only a lot of pineapples in my freezer.

by Anonymousreply 11July 30, 2019 3:54 PM

The frozen dead baby might be worth something to anthropologists

by Anonymousreply 14July 30, 2019 4:02 PM

That poor baby had to be freezing before it died in there. :(

by Anonymousreply 15July 30, 2019 4:05 PM

Keeping her there for that long will just give her freezer burn. She must have been inedible by that time.

by Anonymousreply 16July 30, 2019 4:28 PM

My mother still had a piece of my parents wedding cake from 1966. I guess it's something like that, you know< a 'very special' memento.

by Anonymousreply 17July 30, 2019 4:29 PM

Growing up we had all kinds of creatures in our freezer before Dad you take them to the taxidermist. Perhaps that was the plan and she forgot?

by Anonymousreply 18July 30, 2019 4:34 PM

I'm so looking forward to having you for dinner

by Anonymousreply 19July 30, 2019 4:37 PM

I wonder what happened to his mother?

by Anonymousreply 20July 30, 2019 4:40 PM

Her children never wondered why the ice cream tasted funny?

by Anonymousreply 21July 30, 2019 4:43 PM

R18 omg when I was leasing a house with a housemate who was a hunter, he had a lot of disturbing taxidermy all over the place. There were always mysterious black garbage bags of miscellaneous animals that he had murdered in the freezer taking up half the space.

by Anonymousreply 22July 30, 2019 4:44 PM

Maybe it was roadkill?

by Anonymousreply 23July 30, 2019 5:12 PM

Maybe they can thaw it out like Encino Man.

by Anonymousreply 24July 30, 2019 5:37 PM

That dude is a rough-looking 37.

by Anonymousreply 26July 30, 2019 5:44 PM

In the old days, women used to save the babies they miscarried. Weird, huh?

by Anonymousreply 27July 30, 2019 5:45 PM

The zoo takes food donations. Polar bears like that cold meat.

by Anonymousreply 28July 30, 2019 5:47 PM

Was it born a tard?

It’s alright if they’re born a tard.

by Anonymousreply 29July 30, 2019 5:52 PM

The freezer burn must be awful.

by Anonymousreply 30July 30, 2019 5:54 PM

Frozen in time....

by Anonymousreply 31July 30, 2019 5:54 PM

ICE! ICE BABY! Too cold.

by Anonymousreply 32July 30, 2019 5:56 PM

Freezers are very dangerous.

by Anonymousreply 33July 30, 2019 6:02 PM

It’s gonna be hard to post here once the straitjacket is on.

by Anonymousreply 34July 30, 2019 6:15 PM

Reminds me of the Véronique Courjault story.

That bitch did only one year. For three babies.

by Anonymousreply 35July 30, 2019 6:36 PM

I recently read a book - fictional - with a similar story. Here's part of the description for "The Conjoined" by Jen Sookfong Lee:

[quote]On a sunny May morning, social worker Jessica Campbell sorts through her mother's belongings after her recent funeral. In the basement, she makes a shocking discovery - two dead girls curled into the bottom of her mother's chest freezers. She remembers a pair of foster children who lived with the family in 1988: Casey and Jamie Cheng - troubled, beautiful, and wild teenaged sisters from Vancouver’s Chinatown. After six weeks, they disappeared; social workers, police officers, and Jessica herself assumed they had run away.

Gosh, it was creepy enough as a novel.

by Anonymousreply 36July 30, 2019 6:38 PM

This is like a Disney story compared to my freezer contents.

by Anonymousreply 37July 30, 2019 8:35 PM

What's he asking for the freezer?

by Anonymousreply 38July 30, 2019 10:10 PM

Perhaps she didn't kill the baby at all. Perhaps it died of natural causes and out of grief and shock she didn't know what to do with it and put the body in the freezer and it just got to the point where she couldn't tell anyone about it. Perhaps she had some mental health problems, post partum depression etc, delayed grief etc. The years went by and she just didn't know what to do? If you'd murdered it, wouldn't you dispose of the body? It suggests to me she had some emotional attachment and just couldn't let go? At least it can be autopsied and a cause of death determined.

I NEVER have any room in my freezer as it is.

by Anonymousreply 41July 31, 2019 11:06 AM

She said it was a cake topper, not cake, so why would he open it? Some of the old toppers were wax and were frequently stored in the freezer to prevent melting. That's surely why his mom used that excuse, because it was one of the few things someone would keep in a freezer for decades and was an excuse that made at least a little sense.

What doesn't make sense is that guy being 37. He looks 57.

by Anonymousreply 42July 31, 2019 11:17 AM

[quote]Presumably she had had least three or four refrigerators in 47 years, so she moved it all those times?

That fridge was OLD, honey. That's a 1970s harvest gold Hotpoint, you can see the brand tag still on it in the upper right corner.

Only 3? Pffft. These stories pop up in Germany from time to time. Usually it's 3 or 5 corpses or so. This one was probably the most memorable. 9 dead babies in flower pots around her apartment.

The Ice Baby Defrosteth

by Anonymousreply 65August 1, 2019 5:58 AM

From reading this story in a few places it makes sense.

Estranged dad said the mom was pregnant when they met but not the second time they went out on a date.

From the description of how he found out what was inside the "cake baby box," it was wrapped up in plastic, then under the plastic there was a fleece blanket, and all of it was probably frozen over so he just couldn't peek at it. (The mom would have known and he probably had to thaw it out first to even cut it open.)

Guy probably moved out at 18.

Guy moves back in when his mother is dying.

Guy finally finds out what's in there after death only because, as he said in interviews, he thought there might be money in there.

Also he is a HARD looking 37.

Iced out the competition R72?

by Anonymousreply 73August 1, 2019 1:06 PM

Oh yes, I'm sure that he killed his infant sibling and the parents just shrugged it off like no biggie. Anyway, shouldn't they be able to tell approximately how old the corpse is?

by Anonymousreply 74August 1, 2019 1:33 PM

r74

He killed a baby and shoved it in there awhile ago, now that his mother is dead he blames her. There's no way to know right now who the baby is or anything

by Anonymousreply 75August 1, 2019 2:13 PM

Uh huh. So mom never would have looked in the box in all those years, and he himself reported it to the police while cleaning out the freezer...why??? He could have easily dumped it somewhere. Come on. Try using logic. There have been many stories like this where the mother kept the infant corpse (and often not just one of them).

by Anonymousreply 76August 1, 2019 2:24 PM

r76

He killed the baby and kept it frozen at his house, then when the mother dies brings it over there and says it's been in the mother's fridge for years.

Why is this so hard for you to fathom?

by Anonymousreply 77August 1, 2019 4:55 PM

R75 "There's no way to know right now who the baby is or anything."

Um, there's DNA testing that would prove if he was the father or the sibling.

by Anonymousreply 78August 1, 2019 5:08 PM

[quote]He killed the baby and kept it frozen at his house, then when the mother dies brings it over there and says it's been in the mother's fridge for years. Why is this so hard for you to fathom?

LOL. Maybe you should lay off watching the CSI marathons.

"If it doesn't make sense, it isn't true!" - Judge Judy

by Anonymousreply 79August 1, 2019 5:20 PM

Oh for heaven's sake, anyone who had killed a baby would be at pains to get rid of the body - bury it deep or take it deep into an alligator swamp, or chuck it in a dumpster in another city. The one thing a murderer would want to do at ANY cost is to avoid being caught in possession of a corpse! So no, I don't think this guy killed the baby and produced the corpse for effect decades later, stop insisting on that.

No, keeping a dead baby in the freezer is either an act of complete insanity, or an act of grieving taken to the crackpot level. I have no idea if the baby died by accident or intent, but keeping it in the freezer was the act of someone who just couldn't bear to let it go. I'd expect an unhinged mother to behave that way, not a stranger or a sibling.
