When i read the BI at first i thougt on Hedges too (he is quite discret and don't expose his life the way most young actors do) but he didn't fit the BI, he took a time without working, but he did it most of that on public eye (while he was promoting Ben is back and Boy erased), and he even talked about taking a time without work. And of course there's the fact that press only seems interested on Hedges on award season, he is a good actor but people are not that interested in him outside his work (and i think he likes it that way).

I was across the street (about 50 feet away) watching the takes of the LW scene at the 0:12 mark. It was only about a minute or less and it took at least two hours to shoot.
