LMAO! I think that’s great! What will the attention seekers do now to show just how “popular” they are to their fake friends?
by Anonymous | reply 1 | July 23, 2019 3:33 PM |
Likes don't have any relevance to me because I rarely use IG at all, but why social media based entirely on likes and then take that away? People will just leave and go to YouTube where they can provide content with visible metrics.

[post redacted because linking to dailymail.co.uk clearly indicates that the poster is either a troll or an idiot (probably both, honestly.) Our advice is that you just ignore this poster but whatever you do, don't click on any link to this putrid rag.]

Who but the mentally deficient would ever follow these creepy narcissistic airheads?
by Anonymous | reply 11 | July 23, 2019 3:59 PM |
I hate how Instagram has transformed because of the loser, scammer "influencers."
I love travel, fitness, and photography and quite frankly Instagram is perfect for those topics (unlike Facebook where my old relatives are trading Dad jokes, my friends are arguing over politics, and some frau I went to high school with is posting Babbies 2-8 all day).
However, there is such an obvious marketing grab that draws away from what drew me there in the first place.

I eat babby.

the narcissism is through the roof nowadays.
I recently went to a wedding where every fucking step was captured and put on Instagram. The attendees were all encouraged to IG/facebook/tweet/snapchat everything.
It was awful!

The woman at r3 prefers the natural look!

Say what now?
by Anonymous | reply 16 | July 23, 2019 4:17 PM |
R14 if that happened to me I'd have simply left, even if it was a close friend.
Just went to a wedding and my (tech savvy) friend couple channeled the energy into having a couple pro photographers walk around, and making a hobby photobooth with a Raspberry Pi and a laptop. I think most got the hint to focus on the event, food, and socializing.

Goodness I hate the stupid hashtags people give their weddings too. I noticed this is most pronounced among ugly people.
Nothing more grating than to open my Instagram and get flooded with a thousand posts of someone's wedding with the ugly groom in his ill-fitting polyester suit, the bride stuffed into her dress (which she apparently "worked out" and "dieted" to accomplish), and their ugly ensembles, all captioned with some variation of
"HubbyandTubbySayIDo"

Do the gays on Instagram care about this? Has any gay expressed their grievance yet?

But Dan Savage and Terry Miller have been making a big deal about the fact that Instagram is anti-LGBT. The truth is that Instagram has been removing accounts for a lot of porn stars, both male and female. And for other Instahos that show a lot of skin. But they've convinced themselves it is because they are homophobic. It's not. It's because they are anti-sex and anti-nudity, which I would argue is bad enough but mislabeling it does no one any good
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 23, 2019 5:19 PM |
R23 Yes. In fact there was a push to keep Instagram from marching at gay pride parade's last month.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | July 23, 2019 5:20 PM |
R3 She could barely get the words out through those bloated ass lips of hers!

#workoutlife is one of the stupidest hashtags ever.

This news will be hard cheese on the Instaho Troll.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | July 23, 2019 7:41 PM |
You can still see the likes on the web, just not the app.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | July 23, 2019 8:40 PM |
[quote]For influencers, or individuals who work with brands to promote services or products on social media, this will likely mean a continued shift away from “vanity metrics” — such as likes or follower counts — and a focus on actual sales.
This makes a lot more sense. It will also cut back on all the Instagramers trying to wrangle free goods and services from businesses.
