Traffic “When The Eagle Flies”. Maybe because of the track “Something New”. I love everything by Traffic, and they’ve been covered by a lot of singers over the years.

ABC Lexicon of Love, Kraftwerk Tour de France Soundtracks, Talking Heads Remain in Light. I don't listen to them much anymore but they earned my undying love when I was young. Based on your choice, OP, these 3 might be up your alley.

R2, I’ve been meaning to give Talking Heads a go for ages. Any other good’uns of theirs I should add to my playlist?

Elton John's Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy.

Remain in LIght is their foray into polyrhythms. Many bands went there around that time. So not the new wave funk they are most popular for. It was remade recently by Angélique Kidjo, and her version is good, too.

Lexicon of Love is a Trevor Horn masterpiece.

New Order's Low Life album. The cassette (yes, I'm eldergay) didn't leave my deck during my sophomore year in high school.

That's a good one! I had one of those red metal collapsing Walkmans and this was on many of my running tapes, and could fly up and down Filbert Street light as a feather.

Aimee Mann's "Fucking Smilers" from 2008. Her usually self-centered bitterness is focused outward more, this time around.

Depends. Possibly Ultra by Depeche Mode. Or Hounds of Love or The Dreaming by Kate Bush. Or Disintegration by The Cure. I used to love Operation: Mindcrime by Queensryche when I was a teen.

The Supremes sing Holland Dozier Holland. Great hits and songs by the men who made The Supremes and even the cover of the album was a beautiful golden cover.

Diana Ross And The Supremes Greatest Hits. A 2 disc album of 20 great songs including some good B sides. It was released just after Florence Ballard left the group therefore the original Supremes are on every song. I saw a copy of it in a store the other day and almost bought it even though I got the album years ago, it's that good. A real keepsake.

My brain wants to say Sgt. Pepper.
But my heart wants to say it's a tie between American Idiot and Eat to the Beat
Many of the songs make me want to go way over the speed limit when I'm listening to them while driving.

Moby's Play. Over the years I must have played it over 1000 times in it's entirety and I'm still not tired of it.
Any other fans?
