I don't know if this thread is even really about Timothy Chalamet, but I couldn't find a better open thread. I had to pop on somewhere because I'm finally watching "Beautiful Boy," and wow is it intense. Really interprets the book in a beautiful way. That is my (so far) four-star review.

I saw Beautiful Boy 3 times in the theater. Once in NYC where Timmy did a Q & A afterward. I know it didn't do well at the box office but I honestly loved it. You're right, r271 it's an intense movie that's hard to sit through sometimes, And especially if you can relate personally to the story. I thought Timmy was absolutely amazing in this role. I definitely think he should've been nominated for an Oscar. Such a shame he wasn't, because he was fantastic in this.

I have whiplash from yesterday. Before those photos from the carpet dropped, everyone - including lilothee stans - thought it was over. Then we get a few photos of them smiling in the same frame (and one smiling at each other) and a slow motion video of their arms touching (which looks pretty innocuous is you watch in real time) and the entire fandom seems to be convinced they are a thing. I love how something that looked fake af from the start is now suddenly real because they decided to make it ~private. The ONLY thing that made me question whether or not this was real was the slow motion gif of him touching her hand. It becomes way less lovey doves when you see it in real time. Then after that he wouldn’t even put his arms around the person on the side of her, why go from stealing sneaky romantic touches to putting your arms at your side. Some people say its cause he got caught by the camera, but I dont believe that. They were literally taking photos from both sides (they’d face one way and then turn around to the cameras on the other side, he KNEW there were cameras everywhere, which just suggests he accidentally tapped her hand and then brushed against it in a friendly gesture).

For lilothee to be real, the following things would have to be true:

- All those times they were papped in NYC were not intentional. They just happened to be caught in all those natural situations because Lily is a much bigger star than Timmy, since Timmy is never papped in NYC unless he's with her. Ever. So he knows how to not be papped in every other circumstance except when he's with her. Or it means that paps just don't care about him when he's alone, but they do about her.

- All the weird stuff with Elizabeth is nothing. Her involvement or whatever you want to call it is just Elizabeth being happy that two of her friends are together and nothing more than that. Going back to last May when she liked a comment about how they'd be a cute couple, she was perhaps just already planning to introduce them or just happened to know that they would start dating soon.

I don't know, maybe it's just a matter of looking at it too deeply so you end up overthinking everything but it's hard to deny how strange some aspects of it is.
