I often think about these two kids, especially the one in blue that said he has no family. I always wonder if they made it out of those times ok and are still around and doing well.
They would be in their 40s now. I hope they’re ok.
It’s bold for them to be openly gay at 13 and 15 back in the 80s.
Anyone know who they are and if they’re around?

There is a lot of conflicting information out there including a couple of people who claim to be one of them but their stories don't completely jive. There's a person that wrote a PhD claiming one thing that R1 quoted, there's a guy claiming to be one of the two of them claiming another thing but the descriptions from R1s posts are backwards saying he is the one, Anthony, who who was adopted. There are have been people popping up online besides that one, posting pictures saying they are one of them.
The only thing we do know is that one of them, according to Paris is Burning creator Jenny Livingston who would actually have a better idea than most, is that one did get off the streets, get adopted and eventually went to college.

They’re probably dead. Watching Paris Is Burning makes me incredibly grateful I was born after the AIDS crisis. Seeing all those kids and young men in 80’s New York is like seeing footage of Jews in Germany before the rise of Hitler. You know they’re going to meet a tragic and grisly end, so there’s always a disturbing undercurrent to their scenes.
