Here's the tea on this asshole priest. Back in the late 90s, when attitudes toward gays in Brazil were still not as welcoming (today about 70% of the population are OK with it, even after the fascist elected as president), there was a famous black drag queen named Vera Verão (Vera Summer) played by a famous black actor who stood against prejudice even during the hardcore years of dictatorship in the country.

So in 2001, a closet-case TV presenter (a bachelor who had his children through surrogacy as all heterossexual guys do) decided to pit Vera against the Priest at one of his Sunday afternoon gameshows of Men vs Women. Witnesses that include other celebrities presented that day claim that upon learning that his opponent would be the famous drag queen legend and not a real woman, he declined to be part of the game if the actor took part in the game at the women's side, demanding him to dress like a man and play on his team.

The closet-case presenter then sided with the priest and demanded the actor to do so, which he declined humiliated and left the live game during commercial breaks. Long story short he died 2 years later of a heart attack, according to his closest friends while suffering from a hard state of clinical depression triggered by the events of that day.

Suffice to say that 2 weeks prior to this game show Vera (whose real name was Jorge Lafond) was invited to a radio show where again the priest was a guest and he (the priest) declined to go on air if Vera was on as well, so they cancelled the drag queen's invitation. So the fucking priest had a grudge even before the gameshow and he made it very clear.

As for the priest, he suffered from deep depression and anorexia (very common among gay men) and is now on a self pity journey ever since seeking sympathy from catholic idiots like him.

What the Brazilian media fails to address is the fact that he is a closet-case who became a priest after his lover (his cousin, no less) died in a car accident, which according to his narrative was the most devastating event of his life. Your typical hypocrite of the cloth.

So in short: give this woman a medal.

My bad, according to a referenced Wikipedia article, Vera Summer was hospitalized two weeks after the incident and then spent almost 6 months going back with clinical depression till his death. What an asshole this priest is.
