The last time I was smoking pot a lot. YEARS ago. There was a sort of documentary movie based on the book of a man who lost his sight in an NYC mugging in the 70s and he'd traveled the world (after he lost his sight)...it was all sorts of imagery with his real voice narrating and used to run on one of the movie channels all the time.
The very stoned me was completely transfixed by it.

Gimme Shelter
by Anonymous | reply 37 | July 14, 2019 9:34 AM |
I watched Mulholland Drive stoned out of my mind once, and it made 100% perfect sense to me during that viewing. I had never fully made sense of it prior while watching it completely unaltered. It really changed my perception of the whole movie.

The first filming of Shirley Jackson's "The Haunting" with Claire Bloom and Julie Harris.
Hitchcock's "Vertigo" - it will finally make sense.
"Altered States"
A couple of Pressburger-Powell entries: "A Matter of Life and Death" and "Black Narcissus."
After all, why not enhance terror, too?
I'd suggest "Animal House" but I don't think it can be improved upon.
