OutSports' Cyd Zeigler, Jr. is a closet Republican. The website has a history of focusing mostly on hot white guys. They also refused to critique the massively corrupt Montreal OutGames, a swindling competitor of the real Gay Games, after contract negotiation failures, and the Montreal organizers' pure greed. OutGames thankfully died after years of debt and low attendance. Through these years, Outsports took an "objective" yet weak editorial stance to an obvious case of corruption and mismanagement.

That's why I dislike the website and its lame coverage.

The two founders then sold the site to SBNation which completely changed the format, and there are few posters there now. Few of the posters from the old site migrated to it. And as others noted they largely only post about young, white athletes who come out. Cyd Zeigler still has editorial control and apparently focuses on events and athletes in which he has a personal interest.
