Which place has better beaches, clubs/bars, restaurants, guys etc?
Provincetown or Fire Island? Where is better to go for a gaycation in the summer?

Ptown has more activities if you want something other than beach and parties. Fire Island is just beach and partying.
Fire Island is 100% gay though, Ptown is not.

Provincetown is, by day, mostly touristy families, old people brought in by the busload and gay women and their kids.
It's not gritty and fun anymore. Sad.
The last dinosaur left is the Atlantic House. Still smells of poppers and sweat and the dance floor still bounces.

I adore the calm vibe of Ptown over the more frenetic fire island.
Ptown is 50/50 gay-straight and Fire Island is all gay.
