Chancellor Richard Carranza is a real piece of work. Lawsuits have been filed for bias against white school employees and Asian parents have been protesting against his discrimination against their kids.

He's exactly what you'd expect from a de Blasio appointee.

Also, the nominations announcement used to be classy, but this year they had two people sitting on lounge chairs poking fun at it all. WTF?

So basically every family in NYC with daughters who want to play sports is going to have to join an outside of school athletic league to give their kid a fair shot at playing. The ones who can’t afford that option are going to do what? Watch their daughters not get to play because the anatomical males on the girls’ teams are stronger players? The difference between throwing ability between the sexes starts growing at age six.

If these parents object to this policy that marginalizes their daughters, they will get called bigots even though the facts are on their side. The facts cited will then be called hate speech and the parents will Be characterized by the news media as ignorant and hateful. It’s already happening in Connecticut.

Another point I wanted to make is that most of the POC kids who get into the specialized schools are children of immigrants. The ones I know personally are from Trinidad, Ghana and Colombia. Again, these kids have strong parental support and expectations. They don’t need Carranza’s affirmative action.
