Without Dean.
What's your favorite Jerry Lewis movie?

The King of Comedy. His anger and assholiness always shined through in every role and made him unfunny, and downright scary, in his "HEY LAY-DEE" faux-naive schtick.
In The King of Comedy, he finally got to play a role where being an angry asshole worked in his favor. He's great in that movie.

Any where he’s viciously slapped into unconsciousness is good, in my book.

I agree completely with R1.

Favorite Jerry Lewis movie is an oxymoron.

I was going to say NONE, but R1 nailed it. The problem is, that after the great reviews for his performance in the movie, Lewis was given a syndicated talk show. On it he was the fawning self-centered asshole he always was. The show was canceled quickly.

When I was a child and we had seven TV channels, weekend afternoons- if you didn't watch sports- you got only 3 choices of movies: 1) monster movies; 2) Beach Party movies; and 3) Jerry Lewis movies.

No love for Hardly Working?

Lewis’ pinky ring and bottle of hair dye should have gotten second and third billing, r8.

The Day the Clown Cried.

Which was the one where he is speared by the swordfish?

I guess, if a gun was to my head, I'd pick this one.
But not for him - for Faye.

Arizona Dream. Depp and Dunaway are fantastic, and Jerry's role is small enough that he doesn't fuck anything up.
Plus the one scene Faye and Jerry have together is delicious. He's telling her she's too old to be fucking his nephew Johnny Depp and she pulls a shot gun on him.
Good times.
