However -- I've never gotten him. He isn't all that attractive, and he played a less-than tough looking Hercules. Glad he never seemed to work much again.

r3 I thought he was tough-looking enough when I watched the show as a gayling. He was superpowered anyway, so muscle mass doesn't really matter. Looking back, I enjoyed the gentleness he brought to the role; the show was surprisingly lacking in toxic masculinity for its time. And his hair looked super nice.

It really is a shame the actor turned out this way. I bet it's the bitterness and the resentment that did it.
