Will you ever forgive Aaron Schock?

If he is remorseful for what he had done to gay community and becomes an LGBT activists , will you forgive him ?

by Anonymousreply 77October 26, 2019 7:26 PM

Not a chance in Hell.

by Anonymousreply 1June 19, 2019 6:12 AM

I'll forgive him once Aaron's 50 load weekend is released.

by Anonymousreply 2June 19, 2019 6:13 AM

If only you could master English and understand polls were and option...

by Anonymousreply 3June 19, 2019 6:19 AM

NO!

But my NO does not mean he shouldn't apologize. He's a piece of shit and needs to make amends to the gay community. He also needs to publicly come out. It doesn't matter how many dick pics he posts. That is not coming out. That's the coward's way out. He needs to say publicly that he's gay no matter how difficult.

by Anonymousreply 4June 19, 2019 6:22 AM

He would have to do substantial community service including seriously damaging the GOP to the point they would never speak ill of the gay community again. Then I could reconsider. But that's a fantasy. He was prevented from being anything as evil as a Trump, a Pence, a McConnell or a Ryan. For that I am thankful there is one less POS Republican who can hurt us.

by Anonymousreply 5June 19, 2019 6:26 AM

He hasn't even apologized for his past yet, so how can one even begin to talk about the concept of forgiveness?

by Anonymousreply 6June 19, 2019 6:37 AM

[quote] I'll forgive him once Aaron's 50 load weekend is released.

Aaron releases 50 loads every weekend.

by Anonymousreply 7June 19, 2019 6:39 AM

PERHAPS, if Aaron worked every day for the rest of his life, he could be forgiven.

Following the Ken Mehlman plan, Aaron will finally come out four years from now in a 6,000-word article in an elite, eastern periodical (He’s hoping for ‘The Atlantic’ but it will probably be ‘New York Magazine’.

Ken Mehlman was let off easy. The world is an entirely different place than even a decade ago. Aaron will not have it nearly as easy. As someone on his Taylor Swift tweet said, “...just because he’s decided he’s okay with us doesn’t mean that we’re okay with him.”

by Anonymousreply 8June 19, 2019 6:45 AM

Aaron Schock doesn’t care if the larger community forgives him. He’s only concerned with the muscular A gays opinion of him.

by Anonymousreply 9June 19, 2019 6:52 AM

Surely the muscular A gays have moved on to something younger, firmer and less weather beaten. He can still hold the attention of eldergays but he is definitely beyond his sell by date for the picky.

by Anonymousreply 10June 19, 2019 6:58 AM

He doesn’t think so r10

by Anonymousreply 11June 19, 2019 7:03 AM

R8, Ken Mehlman is a pariah.

by Anonymousreply 12June 19, 2019 7:24 AM

Ken Mehlman

In August 2010, Mehlman revealed that he is gay. Prior to this revelation, rumors about Mehlman's sexual orientation had circulated since at least 2004. In May 2006, Mehlman denied he was gay, telling the New York Daily News: "I'm not gay, but those stories did a number on my dating life for six months." On November 8, 2006, comedian Bill Maher made an appearance on Larry King Live, during which he referred to Mehlman as a closeted gay man. The incident became controversial because CNN edited out Maher's comments in later taped editions and removed the reference to Mehlman's sexual orientation from the transcript of the show. The day after Maher's comments, Mehlman announced he would step down as chairman of the RNC (although reports said that his resignation had been expected for some time).

Almost four years later, in an article in The Atlantic, Mehlman stated that he is in fact gay, and that he planned to be an advocate for legalizing same-sex marriage. According to the New York Times, Mehlman's "announcement makes him apparently the most prominent Republican official to come out." This disclosure followed years of him avoiding and denying inquiries about his sexual orientation. During his RNC chairmanship, Mehlman supported certain positions of the Republican Party, including opposition to same-sex marriage. Mehlman stated he could not have gone against party consensus, but acknowledged that, had he come out of the closet earlier, he might have been able to impact Republican efforts to pass state initiatives and referenda banning same-sex marriage.

Aaron Schock

In April 2019, the online magazine Queerty reported that multiple people spotted Schock at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with several gay men, and also posted a video alleged to be Schock kissing and fondling one of those men. Schock's actions drew condemnation from gay activists due to his past political stances and votes on gay issues.

Do DL sisters hate Miss Aaron because she is hot and scoring prime sizemeat for free,,,,and they are not?

by Anonymousreply 15June 19, 2019 7:40 AM

No.

And no R15, Aaron.

by Anonymousreply 16June 19, 2019 7:44 AM

No. Id be fine if he was in the closet, would not be the first gay doing this. But supporting a political agendas that go against gay interests and voting for them. Associating with homophobic politicians, etc. Its just a lot to allow letting him get a free ride with no consequences. I bet most of the dudes he has slept with dont even know who he is (people are only informed via instagram these days).

by Anonymousreply 17June 19, 2019 10:04 AM

If he goes ahead and sucks cock on camera, I'll consider it. I mean, he's halfway there already.

by Anonymousreply 18June 19, 2019 10:06 AM

Nope. Odious cunt.

by Anonymousreply 19June 19, 2019 10:19 AM

Ken Mehlman and Aaron Schock are from the same anti-gay agenda playbook. They should never be accepted by the gay community and should be shunned as they deserve.

by Anonymousreply 20June 19, 2019 10:28 AM

For all the Herpes he gave us?

Or for selling us the Baby Laxative?

Or his political career?

The Girl gets around....

by Anonymousreply 21June 19, 2019 10:35 AM

If he apologized at this point, it would only be because he’s been shamed.

He’s a sociopath— caring only about himself and not the damage he has to done to everyone else.

by Anonymousreply 22June 19, 2019 10:37 AM

R12, no, Mehlman is not a pariah. He’s done a significant amount of work to support gay equality. Although much of it is just too late, it seems the gay community has basically forgiven him.

Well, the Republican gays anyway

by Anonymousreply 23June 19, 2019 10:40 AM

He is forgiven. Swoooon

by Anonymousreply 24June 19, 2019 10:46 AM

When these former GOP closeted bitches came out and did some nice things to LGBTQ. They were not really "for" us, they were for themselves bitches. Self-serving bitches. Fuck them. Too little, too late. Hope they just disappear and leave us alone.

by Anonymousreply 25June 19, 2019 10:49 AM

I hope the vile little sociopath ends up with the cocaine and meth addiction he so richly deserves - and looks like he is well on the road to acquiring. Fucking little quisling.

Too harsh? I'm actually quite nice I think - but cannot stomach this kind of behaviour. No Cockgobbler - you do not get to vote to damage and impoverish the community - which you now seem to be part of - and suffer no consequences for your actions.

Cowardly asshole. Hope he's found one day in a situation like that weatherman guy who died recently.

by Anonymousreply 26June 19, 2019 10:50 AM

I used this analogy on another thread, so forgive the repeat:

If an arsonist burns down your home, gets caught, and profoundly apologizes and says he will fight so future arsonists don’t do the same thing, do you forgive him?

No! The damage has already been done.

by Anonymousreply 27June 19, 2019 12:59 PM

No. He’s not *asking* for forgiveness. He doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong.

by Anonymousreply 28June 19, 2019 1:07 PM

He's made his bed. Now he can spread his hole and lie in it.

by Anonymousreply 29June 19, 2019 1:16 PM

Not so long as he remains a Republican. Switch to a long-overdue Socialist-Democratic Party and I will revisit my decision.

by Anonymousreply 30June 19, 2019 1:25 PM

I don't think he actually cares about 'gay' people, even though he's gay. He grew up privileged. He's always going to have whatever he wants or needs. He got out of federal crimes that not many people would get out of. His gay universe doesn't include those of us with honest jobs who want to get married, have families and live peacefully in any neighborhood. That's what he voted against. If he can understand that and make amends in meaningful ways, then maybe I'd have some understanding. He's so far shown no empathy, though. I don't get the impression that he's the type of person who actually has any.

by Anonymousreply 31June 19, 2019 1:27 PM

[quote] Mehlman stated he could not have gone against party consensus, but acknowledged that, had he come out of the closet earlier, he might have been able to impact Republican efforts to pass state initiatives and referenda banning same-sex marriage.

Policy is not made in a vacuum. George Marshall did not draft the Marshall Plan on his own without input from other people, whether through direct input or casual discussions with a wide variety of people, experts, and staff.

Mehlman under-plays the impact of his damage to gay people. When no one takes a stand to say 'no' during discussions, the mob mentality continues. When you don't state your opposition, it emboldens people.

The cockgobbler added to the momentum of policies that not only negatively affected gay people, but many other people. His personal denials and those of his family and friends supported the narrative that there is something wrong with being gay. One lone voice is nothing, but adding one voice to many makes a deafening cacophony that drowns out reason and logic.

And ultimately, actions speak louder than words. The cockgobbler may apologize, but will never be contrite. He may attempt to pacify the gays with crocodile tears and wails of sorrow, but will not have changed. We know this because his past actions show him to be deceitful and self-promoting, willing to say and do just about anything to further his own cause.

Nothing has changed that would make self-serving any less a life choice today than it has ever been for the cockgobbler.

So no, there is nothing to forgive because he will never be truly remorseful.

by Anonymousreply 32June 19, 2019 1:35 PM

WW R32!

by Anonymousreply 33June 19, 2019 1:41 PM

If he did the Mehlman apology tour and then actually asked for an apology, sure. His alleged “hotness” means zilch. His legacy will forever be tarnished if he doesn’t take this action, not to mention really bad karma. The alleged hotness (which is mediocre) will go the way of all flesh. So there’s that...

by Anonymousreply 34June 19, 2019 1:43 PM

Honest question: what were Shock's votes against the gay/lesbian community?

by Anonymousreply 35June 19, 2019 1:53 PM

R23, Mehlmen is as radioactive as Chernobyl. He's roundly hated by gay people for using anti-gay marriage laws to get GWB elected, and as far a gay Republicans, who cares what those quislings think about anything?

by Anonymousreply 36June 19, 2019 1:53 PM

R35, The Cockgoblin voted against the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell, and voted for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage.

by Anonymousreply 37June 19, 2019 1:56 PM

Fuck no. If he was remorseful he'd have apologized by now. Sociopaths aren't capable of true remorse, anyway. Die in a grease fire, bitch!

by Anonymousreply 38June 19, 2019 2:12 PM

Thanks, r37.

by Anonymousreply 39June 19, 2019 2:19 PM

I'll have to wait, of course, until he provides an explanation for what he has done in the past, including his actions at Coachella and his questionable hole presentations.

by Anonymousreply 40June 19, 2019 2:20 PM

R35, not only what r37 said, but he went on national media denouncing gay marriage, saying he doesn’t believe in it.

by Anonymousreply 41June 19, 2019 2:21 PM

[quote] Aaron releases 50 loads every weekend.

From his ass, after it's fully loaded

by Anonymousreply 42June 19, 2019 2:23 PM

No, why should I?

by Anonymousreply 43June 19, 2019 2:23 PM

Because he's "HAWT". That's the only reason why this question is being asked to us, and why we're to even consider giving him the benefit of the doubt.

by Anonymousreply 44June 19, 2019 2:59 PM

No, thread done

by Anonymousreply 45June 19, 2019 3:02 PM

R41 I don't even think that's his worst vote. He voted against sexual orientation being added to hate crime laws. That is shielding homophobes from serious prosecution even if they beat a gay man half to death and tell the world it's because they hate gay people. Even many republicans voted for this. Schock was just not one of them

He also voted against federal laws making it easier for gay people to adopt children.

Again, many GOP lawmakers from deep blue states like Illinois or California joined democrats for some of these votes. Schock is not one of them

by Anonymousreply 46June 19, 2019 3:06 PM

Let's not forget that he was whoring around D.C. while publicly stating his opposition to LGBT rights issues. Obviously, in his mind, the laws he was voting for didn't apply to him. A mea culpa at this point would just be hollow.

by Anonymousreply 47June 19, 2019 3:08 PM

I haven’t been following all the Cockgobbler threads so excuse the possible rudimentary question. Did the Cockgobbler ever release a statement?

by Anonymousreply 48June 19, 2019 3:10 PM

Schock got off on the idea of non-elites being heavily persecuted for something he a well educated, wealthy person was able to do with impunity. He wanted gays to be oppressed because he thought it was fun to break the rules he made others follow.

He's a sociopath and I doubt he's capable of remorse. So an apology would mean nothing.

R48 He has not. He has spoken extensively about his criminal charges. He even did an interview on Morning Joe a couple weeks back. But he has NEVER publicly brought up his sexuality or his anti-gay votes in any context

by Anonymousreply 49June 19, 2019 3:12 PM

Aaron sees himself as a victim, not a perpetrator.

by Anonymousreply 50June 19, 2019 3:14 PM

Of course, I would forgive Aaron Schock, after he apologized, showed genuine remorse, and then repented by actively working to protect and to expand gay rights. For gay men, life has not automatically changed because of the end of DADT, marriage equality, and the expansion of parenting rights. Young gay men still experience stigmatization and shame for who they are. We are still subject to discrimination in employment and housing. And don't take the strides we have made as final. With this racist, sexist, irresponsible moron in the White House appointing reactionary judges, our rights will be subjected to attack. Aaron Schock will need to demonstrate that he is a changed man by actively working for the gay community. Forgiveness entails redemption. He is capable of it. He needs to show it.

by Anonymousreply 51June 19, 2019 3:19 PM

When Ellen has Aaron on her show and gives him the blanket forgiveness and acceptance from the Queer Alphabet, all those condemning Aaron will have to stop.

And you KNOW she will!

by Anonymousreply 52June 19, 2019 3:26 PM

Hypocrisy, especially as blatant and harmful as his, gets no forgiveness.

by Anonymousreply 53June 19, 2019 3:36 PM

If he becomes the poster boy for religious and right wing indoctrination and hypocrisy and tours around condemning all the bigots, I might forgive him after a few years.

by Anonymousreply 54June 19, 2019 3:40 PM

LOL @ Ellen having Aaron on her show. Aaron's irrelevant! That's why no one outside of DL gives a shit about his dirty anus pics leaking. She's OV-AH.

by Anonymousreply 57June 19, 2019 3:55 PM

WOW R56's article is spot on about Cockgobbler. It's eerie.

[quote] Sociopaths have no fear. They do not care what others think of them (unless it involves being exposed, which would affect their ability to con further). A sociopath can do and say the MOST outrageous things, and then act like nothing ever happened when it is convenient for them. They are all different and they all do different things but examples would be:

[quote] Compulsive pathological lying (outrageous ridiculous lies) Deception and manipulation (conning) Cheating and infidelity Living like a parasite Faking ‘love’ Theft

[quote] It never occurs to the sociopath that the person that they are deceiving or cheating, has their own rights, and their own mind, and their own ability to make decisions for themselves. To the sociopath, what they need and want is most important of all.

by Anonymousreply 58June 19, 2019 4:28 PM

It's not just about what he did but also what he's doing even now: on his Twitter, in short time, he's already liked or retweeted a number of alt-right shitstains, as well as garden variety right wing assholes, some even anti-gay.

Nothing has changed.

by Anonymousreply 59June 19, 2019 4:42 PM

Maybe, if he sincerely apologized, and learned to wipe better...

by Anonymousreply 60June 19, 2019 4:46 PM

No gay man should ever teach him how to clean himself properly or any other thing that makes gay life easier in any way. He would never do it for you. He would want you to suffer

by Anonymousreply 61June 19, 2019 4:48 PM

If he makes amends, apologizes and tries to change the minds of the people he worked with to injure the LGBTQ community, then I would forgive Aaron.

However, we've seen our own kind in the past follow this pattern. They are hateful and virulently damaging to LGBTQ equality when they have some political power, until they get caught and we'll see this again. Examples include Ted Haggard, Idaho Senator Larry Craig, Roy Cohn, Mormon icon David Matheson, North Dakota legislator Randy Boehning, North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Steve Wiles

I'm expecting another self-hating, self-protecting gay to gain some popularity and political influence in the next few months.

by Anonymousreply 67October 24, 2019 1:11 AM

[quote]If he makes amends, apologizes and tries to change the minds of the people he worked with to injure the LGBTQ community, then I would forgive Aaron.

The problem, of course, is that he will never be remorseful.

The only thing for which he will ever be sorry is that he's not getting all the gobbling opportunities he desperately craves because people find him odious.

There will not be an ounce of contrition for the harm he's done to other people, only for how his past actions are affecting HIM now. If he apologizes, and that itself is a HUGE if, he will only be doing so to get something for himself - like Mehlman before him.

by Anonymousreply 68October 24, 2019 1:23 AM

No, never. A leopard never changes her spots.

by Anonymousreply 70October 26, 2019 3:06 PM

He's just having sex with guys. He's not really looking for forgiveness.

by Anonymousreply 71October 26, 2019 3:08 PM

I’m not sure that he gives a fuck whether losers on DL forgive him or not.

by Anonymousreply 72October 26, 2019 3:12 PM

That's fine, R72, we're perfectly okay with condemning him anyway.

by Anonymousreply 73October 26, 2019 3:14 PM

That cunt doesn't deserve the community's forgiveness.

by Anonymousreply 74October 26, 2019 3:39 PM

Will he also start cleaning his crack properly?

I do not forgive those sociopaths that vote for anti-gay legislation, particularly when they are closeted gays. This means Schock and Graham.
