Is 2019 another year in which only heterosexuals celebrate Christmas and love on the Hallmark Channel?

by Anonymousreply 6June 19, 2019 8:50 PM

I think this year will be PEAK Hallmark Christmas movie. They are hoping to air forty originals this season.

I had a substantial role in one of these and it was the MOST FUN I've had in my life. EVERYONE sees it eventually! It is a bizarre level of semi-fame I loved. Sadly, I am not in one for 2019, but I am hoping to be cast in another. I'm generally the father of the pretty female lead!

by Anonymousreply 7June 20, 2019 1:26 AM

Andrew Walker is losing his edge I feel R2. He's also my favourite of the Hallmark men by far. Most of the usual Hallmark male casting actors tend a little too maquillage and Ken doll and not *quite* Masc enough somehow for me - unsurprisingly. It emtirely amazes me fraus would even fancy most of them no matter their Knitting Catalogue sweater style?!

Sadly, however, I've noted the last season or so, the boyish charm of Walker beginning to flag and look a little "frozen' and probable reflecting little light sirgicsl work definitely having been done. Even if not, he doesn't seem to have a face that's ageing into a silvered midlife hotness unfortunately either for these types of roles he breaks up with the odd horror or thriller genre flick too.

Hallmark 2019 - cannot see him cast anywhere yet? Perhaps Hallmark HQ agrees?

by Anonymousreply 8June 20, 2019 8:48 AM

^^surgical

by Anonymousreply 9June 20, 2019 8:49 AM

I need to submit a screenplay to Hallmark. Same old formula over and over.

by Anonymousreply 10June 20, 2019 9:09 AM

Jessica Lowndes ain't looking so hot these days.

by Anonymousreply 11June 20, 2019 11:10 AM

R10, the scripts are produced by the same bots that write AP stories and pro-Trump tweets. No human has touched them in years.

by Anonymousreply 12June 20, 2019 11:37 AM

They start broadcasting these in early November, I think.

by Anonymousreply 13June 20, 2019 11:38 AM

Don't forget Christmas in July r13!!

by Anonymousreply 14June 20, 2019 12:38 PM

Yes, some of the Christmas in July movies are even popping up early next week.

Will Chance Caldwell's ex-boyfriend Tyron Leitso be in one this year? It looks like he hasn't worked since 2015.

Isn't there a Lori Loughlin special scheduled? Something titled, "Christmas Behind Bars"? "Christmas in the Docket"? "Coal in Your Stocking, Bitch!"?

Now there's a line-up I'd sit and happily watch - especially if Felicity Huffman is Lori's beaten and bitter cellmate in Christmas Behind Bars.

Name your L.L. Xmas from hell special... if you can provide a plot and cast mates, even better!

Hallmark’s Christmas Prison Break, starring you-know-who The aged broken down people of Misty Mountain Eagle Pass have to save Ye Olde Dildo Shop by midnight Christmas Eve. For some reason, they’re only chance is to land a helicopter in the prison yard and bring Lori back (because she has the only key or the deed to Ye Olde Dildo) Anyway, a lot of lost millennials end up falling in love and finding themselves and using dildos!

by Anonymousreply 26June 21, 2019 12:59 PM

There*

by Anonymousreply 27June 21, 2019 1:00 PM

Did anyone spot the token black couple in the video? See - and you say Hallmark isn't diverse! I bet there's an Asian delivery person hidden in one of those movies, too!

by Anonymousreply 28June 21, 2019 1:13 PM

R21, the remaining 21 break down as:

Gingerbread latte sipped by the fire in the village's cafe-blacksmith-dollhouse shop, which is owned by our secret matchmaker who is actually an undercover angel — 11

Cradled tropical drinks cooling the hands of the protagonist's parents on their first-ever Caribbean cruise, paid for by the blood money their daughter earned in the cutthroat advertising world she's about to leave behind for love — 7

Coffee in a green-and-white Skarducks paper cup given to a homeless woman (who then babbles out, "Christmas magic, you'll see....his angel, you'll be....in a box under the tree, that's me....I'll be watching thee, tee hee hee.) who turns out to be Mrs. Claus in disguise — 1

Mulled nonalcoholic wine w/ cinnamon stick, floating star anise and orange slice — 1

Hot buttered rum that gets one tiny sip and a "My word! That sure packs a wallop, hahaha!" — 1

by Anonymousreply 29June 21, 2019 10:33 PM

I love you r19!

by Anonymousreply 42September 14, 2019 12:35 PM

Andrew is a curious case. He has the looks and ability to have made it in mainstream Hollywood in at least a TV series, but seems to have settled for the Hallmark/Lifetime treadmill. Lazy?
