R40 He’s already said he’s covering himself in heavy sunblock every day since moving to LA. I agree the smoking isn’t going to help matters, but fact is he’s really fair-skinned and there’s only so much you can do. I’ve never smoked a day in my life, and I take care of myself, drink a ton of water, and don’t even live in a hot climate- and my skin is still pretty wrinkled for my age. It always has been. I’ve been pretty horribly conscious of it since I was a teenager. Sometimes that’s just life. At least Richard gets to look like HIMSELF, even if he looks a bit older than his own age.

If you're caucasian, about 80% of aging is due to UV light exposure. The rest is collagen loss. Using sunscreen every day and avoiding the sun during peach hours are your best bet. Drinking water doesn't have anything to do with it.

R44 Yeah, I was looking at some of the pictures from when he was promoting Cinderella the other day and I think the grey being so much more prominent now definitely does make a difference. And I’m not saying it’s a bad thing at all, I think it’s great he’s happy and comfortable in his own skin and doesn’t feel the need to dye it except for when he has to for work. He's handsome as hell either way! But he does look a bit younger when it is dyed. (NICELY I mean. Not that awful shoepolish job they did on him for the Rocketman reshoots. That was horrific.)

That said, why in the world would it need to include such things as one was spotted grocery shopping on this day, and one went on a hike on another day? Fear and angst: because his entire face is involved. Evey muscle is moving and especially also his eyes. And he is breathing very differently. He has also a nice happy face and I love it when he's laughing. Many actors can make a fake happy face quite good, but that's not very difficult. Richard plays especially such negative emotions [angst, fear, loneliness etc] with very tiny nuances and thats why I thing he is very good with that. He has a very expressive face in generall - hence all those lines around his eyes. [sorry can't explain that better in English right now]
