When I lived in OC in the late 80's and early 90's my deceased partner would make a special trip twice a month for Sunday brunch. A line halfway down the block. Best club sandwich ever
The French Quarter - West Hollywood.... What happened?

"The French Quarter" was the original of the Mimi's chain popular in Orange County. Was told so when I ate there in the 90's. Fab food, service, atmosphere. So relaxing. Loved their muffins before it became a thing.

They're going to build a nice mixed use complex there. More housing and retail.

There were too many deceased people showing up for brunch and the health department finally stepped in.

I loved the restaurant and the little arcade that surrounded it. My favorite shop there was Dorothy's Surrender, which was a treasure trove of gay novelties and tchotchkes.
