He has expressed a sentiment I have noticed is fairly common with the deplorables. The idea that being lectured to or having ideas counter to their opinions presented to them is somehow a form of punishment. In fact, they go further. Not only are they threatened by disagreement of thought but it seems a more serious offense than violence.

I love the idea that biology and economics are somehow esteemed disciplines for a group which seems so stubborn in its resistance to science and learning. Little needs to be said about their delusion of morality, which, like obeying laws, they selectively cherry pick and apply depending on religion and skin color.
