This show actually has a bit of a following, and not just among those who watched it as kids. It was popular enough to have all four season's released on DVD and was shown on some of youth oriented networks in more recent years.

There have been bigger head scratchers bandied about for reboots. Plus there is no guarantee it'll get picked up anywhere. If it is, it will probably be on something like Netflix or Hulu.

I think it would be even more interesting if they brought back Punky's friends, Cherie, Margaux (a good bitch), and Allen. Even in a recurring capacity. It's not like they'd be busy with anything else.
