And he want's it melting on his tongue. Very cheeky.
MIKA's Back, & Now He's Looking For Your Ice-Cream

Funny, I was just wondering yesterday what's happening with him these days. Very cheeky indeed, I want more of this.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | May 31, 2019 12:43 PM |
Dull fluff, IMO
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 31, 2019 12:44 PM |
It's a fluffy poolside song, yes. Nothing wrong with that, I'm sure he'll have some deeper ones on the upcoming album as well.

Awww I love Mika’s music but to be honest, I’m a bigger fan of his brother’s Instagram. He takes beautiful pics of The places he goes and he’s smoking hot. Still trying to figure out if he’s down for men or women.

r4 Yeah, his brother's Insta game is very good. There's a child that features in some of his photos, though I don't know if it's his or if it's a nephew.
Imagine being named Fortuné and leading a charmed life. I kinda hate him.
r7 Fucking. HELL! That is one enterprising queen. I had no idea.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 31, 2019 2:02 PM |
Mika seems a little old for bubble-gum music like this.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 31, 2019 2:18 PM |
Enh, it's just one song as a throwback to the old material. We'll be able to judge better when the full album is out. I loved the more mature stuff in the last one so hopefully it'll be more of that.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 31, 2019 2:29 PM |
I think I've just been teleported back to 2006 when Mika was still a thing.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 31, 2019 4:13 PM |
Yes, a peak tends to happen with most singers. You must do a lot of teleporting whenever there's news about Britney, Madonna, Mariah...
Though he certainly wasn't worth €400 million back in 2006, so he's definitely better off these days, even without the fame on the little island.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 31, 2019 4:18 PM |
I agree r11, I'm sorta disappointed by it too. I was hoping for something more like his collaboration with Franco Battiato. The new song seems like a huge backwards step.
I wonder if it will be included on the album or is just a stand alone single, hopefully it is.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 31, 2019 5:48 PM |
It vaguely reminds me of Prince, specifically Cream.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 31, 2019 6:37 PM |
Ex-MIKA superfan here. I grew out of him :( Sad to see that he still has not developed musically or lyrically, though I think when I left my teens behind was when I realised he wasn't actually very clever, just ten years older than me
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 31, 2019 6:43 PM |
Does anybody have any info about MIKA's father being some bigshot American banker? Is he still alive?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 31, 2019 6:48 PM |
It's dance and EDM-based now.
That sucks -- Mika's music used to be rock-based.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 31, 2019 6:51 PM |
Corny and embarrassing. Listening to twee crap like this used to get you jumped.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 31, 2019 6:57 PM |
His family seem very wealthy and privileged r18, but they could be living off Mika's huge fortune.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | June 4, 2019 1:41 PM |
r18 I think his dad might still be around, yes. Wonder how he took MIka's coming out, I know his mom wasn't happy about it at all.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | June 4, 2019 1:54 PM |
r21 No, they're independently wealthy. However, it pains his parents that he doesn't want to beard anymore as it messes with their social standing. That's more important to them than wealth, which they've always had.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 4, 2019 1:56 PM |
& is Fortune also gay? That must really annoy them, two sons both gay. I mean that's if Fortune is indeed gay, he might not be.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 4, 2019 5:20 PM |
Fortuné posted this the other day...
The man of the hour, of every hour 💙
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 4, 2019 5:27 PM |
... and this is his latest post.
sweaty salty tasty
So who knows.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 4, 2019 5:29 PM |
Oh, no, I see now that guy is married with a kid. Nevermind!
Just bros being bros.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | June 4, 2019 5:31 PM |
Well Fortune is now 29, incredibly handsome and wealthy and not a sign of a girlfriend, I guess that says something.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 4, 2019 5:35 PM |
R4, he's an architect, that's why he's so interested in picturing buildings in his ig account
by Anonymous | reply 29 | June 4, 2019 5:57 PM |
r30 I love how there's basically no hot guys in the video so they wouldn't detract from Mika. But that overlong Swatch product placement... [italic]gurl.[/italic]
by Anonymous | reply 31 | June 27, 2019 2:25 PM |
You can't still be a twink at 35.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | June 27, 2019 2:34 PM |
R21, they can't be living off Mika's wealth. Mika went to Westminster School when he was a kid and that ain't cheap.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 20, 2019 8:43 PM |
As has been pointed out before, his dad comes pre-loaded. So none of them ever needed Mika's money to survive. Maybe they needed it out of pure greed, who knows.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 20, 2019 9:14 PM |
r35 Messy if true.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 20, 2019 9:29 PM |
Why was he doing an old song on Seth Meyers recently (9/11)? Doesn't he have a new album coming out?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | September 27, 2019 2:34 AM |
R35 No his boyfriend is a greek fimmaker, Andreas Dermanis
by Anonymous | reply 38 | September 29, 2019 7:52 PM |
That boyfriend is so toast if they ever break up. Imagine going from a half-billionaire to... whatever the hell else is available to him at his age.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | September 29, 2019 8:15 PM |
Looks like he is going back to his twee poppy stuff again. Too bad I liked the more mature, introspective sound on his last album
by Anonymous | reply 40 | September 30, 2019 10:02 AM |
r40 Not that great.
He dropped a new music video yesterday and it's the most overtly homosexual (and just sexual) he's ever done. I'm glad he finally feels comfortable enough to go there.
And some of the guys are... wow. 🤤

From an interview...
“Sanremo” not being about San Remo at all, but being about growing up gay and being a 13-year-old gay walking around the streets of San Remo and feeling incredibly intimidated by every other masculine presence that seems more beautiful, more slim, more heterosexual — just cooler and better than you’d think you could ever be. That’s what that song is about. It’s not obvious but it’s in there.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | October 5, 2019 9:58 PM |
Fucking hell, this song is about the night his sister fell from the window and got impaled on the railings.
To a song like, “Paloma…” It’s about my sister and it’s about the night that I found her on railings having fallen from the window of the fourth floor of her apartment… And I’m standing barefoot in my boxers. And she’s dying on the railing. And I’m looking at her, at that situation… when I started writing about it… there was beauty in the fact that I saw her there in the most grotesque situation… She survived, that’s why it’s easier to see the beauty in it.
A beautiful song but Christ, those verses... was it a suicide attempt? 😟
by Anonymous | reply 43 | October 6, 2019 1:35 AM |
Is he popular in Europe? He’s getting too old for this twinkle pop music aimed at tweens.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | October 6, 2019 1:55 AM |
I like this one as well, where he discovers Advaita Vedanta after a visit to a particularly nasty sex dungeon. At least that's my interpretation of it. 😆
r44 Most of his fans have grown out of it, I think. But he still has the huge name recognition going for him, so he needs to churn out twinkle pop songs in addition to trying out new stuff and dicier lyrics.
by Anonymous | reply 45 | October 6, 2019 2:07 AM |
There was a huge 8-page spread on him and his family in Tuscany in a recent issue of "Paris Match," complete with boyfriend and Golden Retriever. I live in Ireland, where he hasn't been popular for years (if ever), and I was surprised to see he's still so big elsewhere.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | October 6, 2019 2:23 AM |
This song is the boppiest one off the new album, in my opinion. Been listening to it on a repeat. I think it might be about cheating / open relationship?
complete with boyfriend and Golden Retriever
That's cute.
