THE AMOUNT OF U.S. FARMLAND HELD BY FOREIGN INVESTORS NEARLY DOUBLED IN A DECADE
American soil.
Those are two words that are commonly used to stir up patriotic feelings. They are also words that can't be taken for granted, because today nearly 30 million acres of U.S. farmland are held by foreign investors. That number has doubled in the past two decades, which is raising alarm bells in farming communities.

This gives me the creeps. They are doing it quietly and in some of the most rural parts of the US.
Lots of beautiful landscapes being sold off to our political foes.

This is what deplorables should be screaming about.
Not poor Latinos. They aren’t buying up hectares.

Don't worry, it's all shithole red states' own doing. And Trump is accelerating this trend by bankrupting American farmers with his clueless trade wars.
Ohio, like Texas, also has no restrictions, and nearly half a million acres of prime farmland are held by foreign-owned entities. In the northwestern corner of the state, below Toledo, companies from the Netherlands alone have purchased 64,000 acres for wind farms.
---
Trump has floated a $15 billion bailout to help farmers hurt by the tariffs. It’s the second straight year the federal government will have to provide billions in assistance to farmers to help them cope with the trade.
Hurst called the prospect of another bailout financially inadequate and psychologically repulsive for farmers in Missouri.
Bitches, please!!!

So this is why Plump is weakening farming positions for his client/state China and XI who he hosted at his resort.
I’m guessing Plump gets a percentage of each farm he can bring to its knees so China can buy it.

Something seems nefarious about how secretive it all is. Should be dragged out into the light since it affects all citizens.

^ unbelivable! Does the average small town family know this is going on? Hard to believe rural folks are ok with foreign owned companies buying up all the land and siphoning away the wealth.
