You never hear about her anymore.
The last thing I saw her in was Mother's Day where she sort of reprises her psycho role from Rocks the Cradle, but not much since then.

She was in Jessica Jones as the Trish Walker character's mom.

She was working at a bookstore and later for a homeless shelter.

She's a woman who turned 40 in Hollywood and probably refused to play the third wife to some 75 year old actor over and over again.

She came into the Los Angeles Orphan's Home unexpectedly and spent time with the kids while I was working there, so TEAM REBECCA!!!

What I want to know is what happened at the end of The Practice, when it was being set up to evolve into Boston Legal. Rebecca was supposed to be a co-lead.
She was in the very last episodes of the last season where she played an ruthless, zero-bullshit lawyer — kind of a Joan Collins spin on what Christine Baranski would later do on The Good Wife.
She was so good! It was announced she would star, and then she disappeared from the project over the summer. I was so disappointed. Not that I was a huge fan of hers before, but she was just great in the part.
I never watched Boston Legal. It was old and boring.

She needs to work on a limited series on cable or a streaming service.

So she became Piper Laurie, R13?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 27, 2019 3:55 AM |
Like many blondes, she really did not age well at all.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 27, 2019 7:17 AM |
Really?? She’s almost 60. She looks great.

She was cast in that ballyhooed HBO series in 2007 or so, about surfing? But it bombed and was one of HBO's first one season cancellations..
There have been a lot of high profile big named series cancelled at HBO and Showtime in the last decade- many before airing-

"She was working at a bookstore"
Threatening to jump over the counter and punch people in the brain isn't good PR for anybody.

At the end of the day, most actors and actresses are really only remembered for one or two roles. She has them: Risky Business and Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 27, 2019 3:41 PM |
She played a vicious racist in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle.
