She won’t ask her millionaire father, but it’s ok if we pay her home repair bills instead! Welcome to a New York story of entitlement.
She has eight dogs?
She sounds a bit... eccentric.

I don't get these people who have no shame like that. An coworker had a Go Fund Me account because she wanted her 13 year old daughter to go on a trip to Paris. Then a month later she is posting pictures on Facebook of their family vacationing in Florida and says she is having gastric bypass surgery. WTF? You have money for all that other stuff, meanwhile I can't afford to take a vacation myself.

I guess the public will never get a break from supporting those grifters. Ask your dad for money and stop grifting off hardworking people. Haven't we supported your dad's work enough.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 26, 2019 12:12 PM |
Maybe she did ask her father and he said no. Now stupid people can help donate to her
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 26, 2019 12:14 PM |
If the damage was caused by a neighbor's leaking loo why the hell is she having to pay for the repairs? She should sue the neighbor for damages.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 26, 2019 12:16 PM |
She’s not famous herself (only a barnacle of the famous) I believe the whole thought is, film fans live her dad, so have those rubes give me money!
She has eight dogs. A home. A support network, insurance....
How quaint, when most in our country are unable to come up with 400$ in an emergency.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 26, 2019 12:16 PM |
And why isn't her insurance company going after the neighbor to recoup the costs they're shelling out? Something sounds fishy about this whole thing.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 26, 2019 12:17 PM |
Dear God, Martin Scorsese is worth $100 million dollars and he walks around with those godawful fake teeth in his head.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 26, 2019 12:29 PM |
Did anybody read the linked article? Catherine didn't set up the GoFundMe. Her sisters did.
The insurance is paying for some things, but apparently she had a $25K deductible (which is foolish; I'll bet she didn't realize it was that high) and she is paying to board some of her pets while she's living in a rental that won't house them all. Hence she's on the hook for about $30K.
I get the criticism about "why ask strangers for money when you won't ask your father," but she doesn't sound like a grifter by any means.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 26, 2019 1:38 PM |
Catherine doesn’t live here anymore.

by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 26, 2019 2:04 PM |
How very Tori Spelling of her!
Here’s what I think. She’s always been a fuckup. Dad set her up with a job and a house, and expects her to be an adult and support herself. (Fair enough!)
Anyone with a full-time job that’s NOT “dog breeder” shouldn’t keep eight dogs in their NYC home. Animal hoarder. Red flag #1.
Her sisters set up a GFM (red flag #2) but she’s the one being interviewed and quoted (red flag #3). Disingenuous. The article shames her elderly father (red flag #4). I think that’s the whole point of the article. Dad won’t give her any more money.
I wonder if she uses a cane.

Excellent analysis R12.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 26, 2019 2:13 PM |
If the public will pay for it, I too am happy to live in a duplex with 8 pets.
I know that she isn't the grifter who set up the GoFundMe but her sisters who did set it up didn't give her the money. Everyone claims they didn't set up their own GFM
My colleague's niece died in the horrible club fire years ago and there was a GFM with a 100K goal. For what? So the family could mourn and get through this difficult time. Is it for burial costs?
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 26, 2019 2:21 PM |
You figured it out, R11. I am Catherine Scorsese's highly-paid PR agent. Kudos!

Why couldn't she borrow money from her father?

“If I’m going to ask my dad for something, I’m going to ask for something like helping to fix me up with Chris Evans,” she said of the “Captain America” heartthrob.
“I’m not a trust fund baby,” said the proud propmaster and film production crew member.

I close friend dated one of his other daughter 15 years ago (circa). She was a MESS. Sweet as pie, but so insecure, needy. Marty, by all accounts, was a horrible father.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 27, 2019 6:04 AM |
Maybe she did this to spite her dad. Like the son of a well-known actress who did porn to spite his rich mom. Jeremy something.

[quote]Marty, by all accounts, was a horrible father.
I believe it. Years ago, I read a piece about Scorsese in a film magazine (not a gossip rag) which mentioned in passing that both he and Robert De Niro had numerous kids by assorted women other than their 'official' women, that were not known to the public. Both of them just paid these women off with the stipulation that they keep the kids out of their lives entirely, because both men regarded the children as a 'distraction' from their creative lives. I don't imagine that they regarded their official kids much differently.

How is Marty worth 100 million? Did he stash the dough in swiss banks? He took out millions in mortgage on his townhouse just a few years ago...

by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 27, 2019 8:39 AM |
R23, can you elaborate in any way about how Scorsese was a “bad father”?
I read an article a while back with Marty and his current wife where they talked about his youngest “surprise daughter” (surprise because she was born when the wife was in her 50s). The article portrayed Marty as a “happy family man...”
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 27, 2019 8:41 AM |
Did Marty only have a pack of daughters? (No sons by any woman?)
I remember DeNiro uncharacteristically crying on a tv show about having an autistic son a few years ago; I think he also has a 9 year old daughter with his latest soon to be ex-wife that was conceived via surrogate and in vitro. Maybe he became a late in life “involved father”?
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 27, 2019 8:44 AM |
Scorsese’s youngest daughter Francesca has a YouTube channel.

Why do the really famous let their kids do that, R35?
And why do the kids feel so needy to want to be on social media?

[quote]Did Marty only have a pack of daughters? (No sons by any woman?)
It's unclear just how many biological kids he has - for all we know some of those 'unofficial' kids that he doesn't acknowledge could be sons. But his known kids are all daughters.

by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 27, 2019 10:05 AM |
R36, that is because they have had everything handed to them from the moment they were born, and are not used to having to work hard at all. Also, most of them aren't intelligent or talented, so they tend to gravitate to professions and activities where they can parlay their parents' fame into profit with the minimum amount of effort imaginable.
This is their parents' fault, of course. If you have money, it is your obligation to teach your children that it takes a lot of hard work to achieve privilege, and that maintaining it as just as difficult. Furthermore, they should emphasize the importance of education, because money loses value as time progresses and you need to actually do something productive if you don't want to see how your estate becomes smaller year after year. After all, fortunes can easily disappear if you don't have an income and spend money fast - especially if said fortune has to be divided among several heirs.
Regarding Scorsese's daughter, all I can say is "tough luck, honey". There are people who end up living in the streets over as little as a few hundred quid, because they cannot turn to their rich daddy (or try to emotionally exploit his fans) when they encounter a serious challenge. She sounds like she has a network to rely on, so she can ask friends or relatives for money and repay it in installments. Else, she can take a loan using her soon-to-be refurbished apartment as collateral.
These lazy, self-indulgent and entitled celebrity children who are underachievers and think that the world owes them everything because "mommy and daddy are famous", are truly contemptible.

The youngest daughter is tight with Woody Allen’s daughter who defended him on Facebook a couple of years ago, the one who looks like a cool Asian lesbian. They’re all up in each other’s social media.

I still don't understand why this is an issue with her home owner's insurance?
The damage was caused by her neighbors. Why isn't the neighbor's insurance on the hook for it. Sue them if they give you any push back.
