IMO, bisexual women who value social status will choose a heterosexual marriage over a lesbian relationship (marriage, if it's legal). It seems like Jolie could have chosen Shimizu over her first husband, Johnny Miller. Like it or not, women simply get more attention and validation from being in heterosexual relationships (than lesbian relationships).
