Anybody watch this show? It's an eight episode spin-off of Chrisley Knows Best. Savanah and Chase go to LA for three months - Savanah to work on her brand and Chase to try his hand at acting. They each have a side kick. Savanah has an out gay friend who is supposedly well connected in the fashion industry but has really bad taste and Chase has a "new" friend Elliot who is supposedly an old friend. Elliot isn't very bright but he grew on my after a while. He's a bit like Chase's other friend, Parker but a bit more handsome in a strange way. Rondell makes a short appearance too. Chase tries his hand at dating a woman (who turns out to be too LA for him) and also tries to date a fellow acting student who seems to have far more chemistry with another acting student than with Chase. I think Parker and Elliot are Chase's boyfriends and Rondell is maybe a FWB - a big black benefit.
I hate this shitty show. It's so fake

[quote] Chase tries his hand at dating a woman
Oh, I'm sure that wasn't awkward. That kid is gayer than Liberace.

Chase Chrisley seems gay. He will get roles if he can suck good enough.

Chase and his friend Elliot were practicing a Scottish accent for Chase's acting class and after a bit too much Scotch whiskey were shirtless and wearing plaid shirts as kilts. They had painted their faces and bodies. Elliot had two hand marks on his chest. It was obvious Chase had made them as Elliot couldn't position his hands that way. Chase claimed it wasn't in a sexual way or anything.

As they were leaving Nashville, there was a shoot of Chase in skinny jeans and pointy, little black zipper boots. All I kept thinking was "You best not be wearing that in Oklahoma and Texas."

It's like Jethro and Elly May got spun off of the Beverly Hillbillies. They even have their own cement pond.

They are the corniest-looking people.

Fake, R1? What could possibly be fake about Nanny Faye wearing a cowboy hat to go shopping on Rodeo Drive??

Awww, I actually enjoyed this spin-off - particularly until the elder flamer Todd had to make an appearance for half of the season. The oh-so predictable yet ridiculous part was the high-end, Los Feliz area home that they were rented which would set them back a good $14,000 to $18,000 a month in that area of Los Angeles (these aren't Nashville or Atlanta prices after all!). No one believed that they were going to LA to "make it" (not for real), but premise was silly and pretentious just like the parent show. In other words, it was perfectly produced. These two kids are spoiled brats but do make for easy entertainment. Elliot definitely grew on me as well - he was my favorite "character" by the end of the first run. Savannah's bf has a hot ass and while he seems sweet - he is a bit boring for reality TV. Otherwise, I like this show far better than watching that queen Todd try to make Nashville look important or interesting for yet another season. There is a reason that most of the film industry has focused on Los Angeles for a century (and that the other 1/4 or less in NYC).

Also, Savannah's ponytail lift looks horrifying (focus on the upper lip/nose area); she used to be naturally beautiful - so why the Hell would she mess with that? The girl is 21 yoa.

Watch it? No.

R9 I never got that they were in Los Feliz. I heard Savanah tell Chase that he was pronouncing it wrong but must have missed what lead up to that. I lived in Los Feliz for a number of years and that house looked more akin to a beach community than Los Feliz. Los Feliz is either apartment complexes along Franklin and between Hollywood, old Spanish style houses in the flatlands (between Franklin and Los Feliz) or hill side homes above Los Feliz.

No, because I have an IQ over 86. Or what r11 said.

I would watch that program if there was an episode entitled, The Chrisleys Meet the Manson Family.

Its better than the regular Chrisley show. I dont think Chase is gay. He has had too much religion thrown at him to go that route, at least for now, same thing with his buddy Parker.
The father I think has severe anger issues that arent just acting for the show. In earlier episodes when he expodes you can see variious family members cringe and react fearfully. I would actually like to see Chase beat the shit out of his freak of a father. There was even a rumor Todd beat the crapt out of his own mother several years ago.

Don't forget Todd has another son that he does not acknowledge. Chloe is the son's daughter.

Yeah, I forgot about him R16. For some reason, I thought that he passed away - but I do not follow the show that closely. How did Todd get custody of the child? Weird. I remember that he was the son that outed Todd (as if we needed the help here...) early on.

Hey, if Daddy Chrisley is not a big factor in the show, if at all, it sounds like it might be mildly entertaining.

Early announcements said it was originally a 16 episode show but only turned out to be 8. I wonder why they cut it in half. It didn't seem like Chase or Savanah really had much time to get things moving before they headed home. Interesting that they drove out in an SUV and flew home.

That IS interesting.

I think that they are saving the next 8 for season two which airs this August, R19.

Savannah is looking pretty gay now days too (the apple donāt fall far from the daddy Chrisley tree). She called off engagement to hockey player, but they are dating and in therapy...Okay...
Sorry For old thread bump - just started watching this show. Dad is FLAMINš„š. I canāt get enough.

I spent a lot of time in the hospital over the last few months, and saw a lot of the show, since the hospitals only order basic cable. It's harmless entertainment that doesn't exactly demand your attention. I'd really like to seduce Chase, for some strange reason.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | July 16, 2020 1:53 AM |
Yeah both Savannah and Chase seem more gay as time goes on. I know Chase likes him some BBC
by Anonymous | reply 24 | July 16, 2020 2:01 AM |
Chase is as gay as the day is long. I'm shocked no one has outed him or Todd yet. And Grayson seems gay, too, though he's still young and maybe just awkward.

Maybe the episodes were cut down to 8 because of Miss Corona? Shooting had to stop?

by Anonymous | reply 28 | November 6, 2020 2:20 PM |
When you have a paternal role model like Todd, I think any son would seem a little bit gay.
