I'm surprised that so many people are calling him unhandsome or worse. Part of his problem in his earlier days was that he was following 80s fashions with the long hair and blond highlights. I think he looked best when his hair was its natural brown color and closely cropped. I think 1987 was his best look.

Those pictures are not new. GM was not attractive as a teen but was very handsome from about 24 on. By the early 2000s he started to lose his looks way before he should have due to his substance use.

I was a preteen girl in the 80s and I thought George Michael was the most gorgeous man ever.

We all have our own personal tastes in what we find attractive, but if you step back and try to be objective about it, no, he was not a particularly handsome man. He was able to work with what he had though and create an illusion. Good photographers, the right lighting, the perfectly sculpted stubble, the tan.... but he wasn't intrinsically handsome.

The 80s hair was unfortunate, but GM was quite attractive as a young man. Some of you are making him out like he was Billy Joel's retarded stepbrother, which is ridiculous.
