I was a listening to a SNL podcast and they think Beck and Kyle will not be brought back.

I haven't been watching it much this year. Do they use Kyle Mooney much in sketches? I listened to him the other day on Marc Maron's WTF podcast. Maron said they don't use him enough.

I hope that Kyle Mooney leaves SNL and does his own thing. He’s very funny but is wasted on SNL. Maybe he can use the money to fund his own projects.

So he started appearing on stage yelling at random times during a song while appearing with the performers he featured. He shouldn't be famous at all

Wasn't a great show, just sort of "meh" but much of it was carried by the charm of Mr. Rudd. No really memorable sketches (I know I'm old when, on Monday morning, people would say "Did you see SNL this weekend when they did..."). Those musical numbers were just as forgettable. Love it when rappers and hip-hop artists do these grand gestures, usually in memory of another performer who died violently. You want to do something? Speak and actively do something to cut the gang connections to your music instead of just lip service. (Okay, off the soapbox.)

SNL is coasting on past greatness. I agree that John Mulaney should replace Lorne. He still owns the show, so pay him not to interfere.

When Lorne is gone the show will end or maybe just last a few years beyond it. It's not just talent that keeps it going. It's the ability to battle with NBC.

Larry David will probably play Bernie again. I think they'll make a wise decision to have Maya Rudolph play Kamala. Rachel Dratch appeared this as Klobuchar, but if she's not available they'll probably go with Heidi Gardner to play her. I think maybe Mikey Day could play Buttigieg.

And they could ask Jason Sudeikis to play Biden.

Apparently, openly gay SNL writer Bowen Yang is being considered as a potential cast member. He would be the first Asian cast member.

They probably want to check that box off after having 2 Asian hosts this year which brought up the fact that they have never had an Asian cast member in their over 40-year history.
