Christopher Abbott says his nudity in Catch-22 is "justified"
by Anonymous | reply 49 | December 30, 2019 10:50 PM |
It's probably the only reason to watch.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | May 18, 2019 5:12 PM |
Is male nudity ever not justified?
He's been my crush since Girls so I guess I have to check this out now just to see his butt. Horrible reviews, though.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | May 18, 2019 5:13 PM |
He's aged since girls. Still looks good though. Why did he really leave the show?

He was amazing in James White.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 18, 2019 5:23 PM |
r4 He looks pretty youthful to me still in the pic at r5?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | May 18, 2019 5:27 PM |
He's very cute.
He looks younger than 33, IMO.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 18, 2019 5:28 PM |
No full frontal, but lots of teasing.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 18, 2019 6:03 PM |
[quote]No full frontal
Disappointing. I wasn't dying to watch Catch-22, so I won't subscribe. Had there been dong, OTOH...
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 18, 2019 6:07 PM |
please post the nudity!
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 18, 2019 6:08 PM |
I like that SNL's Jon Rudnitsky's on the show. He's always been hunky.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 19, 2019 12:01 AM |
CA being nude in "Catch 22" is better than Alan Arkin being nude in "Catch-22." Much better.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 19, 2019 12:07 AM |
It’s justified in that if he didn’t do the nude scene, he wouldn’t have been cast.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 24, 2019 3:14 AM |
I always wonder how people who do nude scenes cope with the fact that parents and other family will see the movie. Having been sexually abused, I would never ever feel safe with that.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | May 24, 2019 3:23 AM |
If there's no penis, it's not nudity.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | May 24, 2019 3:26 AM |
It was absolutely justified, because he's cute!

Parents, and often other family members, have seen them nude before.

I’m on episode 3 and so far there’s only been the one butt shot.
But there is a lot of beefcake in this show.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 24, 2019 3:42 AM |
That young man's nudity justifies itself.
The scenes where is coverd up by clothing need justification, if they are to stand.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 24, 2019 4:10 AM |
Is this the one George Clooney directed? Remember the love and tenderness Clooney photographed Sam Rockwell's butt in Confessions of a Dangerous MInd and his thanking Michael Fassbender's penis at the Golden Globes?
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 24, 2019 5:05 AM |
I hope he has a nice cut cock.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 24, 2019 5:21 AM |
So much man candy on display.
Bomber sorties recreated are great.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | June 24, 2019 1:24 PM |
Clooney and Healov can’t direct for shit. It’s a very cold show.
Abbott is the best thing about it.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | June 24, 2019 1:42 PM |
So is Kyle Chandler in khaki.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | June 24, 2019 2:24 PM |
Clooney is such a closet case.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | June 24, 2019 2:27 PM |
I like its pitch of dark comedy.i think the dark is handled much better than one of the overplayed comedic material however.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | June 24, 2019 2:46 PM |
^^ some

Thought the first was boring garbage. Pretentious crap. I'll always pity poor Stacy Keach for not being existential enough for Mike Nichols.

I just started watching “Catch-22” on my new Fire TV Cube, and love the show. I think Christopher Abbott (Yo-yo) is to die for, and I always had a crush on Rafi Gavron (Aarfy), since I first saw him in “A Star Is Born”.
So many cute guys on the show!
by Anonymous | reply 31 | July 25, 2019 3:17 PM |
You guys should watch the film first, then you will have a better understanding of the show.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | July 25, 2019 3:20 PM |
I rolled my eyes when I first saw the nude blonde slut in the first episode. Clooney and Heslov cannot do sensuality.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | July 25, 2019 3:50 PM |
The Nichols film was really not very good. Probably not an easy book to adapt.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | July 25, 2019 3:54 PM |
R35...that’s what I thought he looked like. For the longest time, Christopher Abbott reminded me of another actor.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | July 25, 2019 4:05 PM |
They could be brothers.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | July 25, 2019 4:09 PM |
You must be one of those DLers who see "gay identical twins" everywhere, r38.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | July 25, 2019 4:11 PM |
Chris Messina could play his older brother.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | July 25, 2019 4:12 PM |
They both have the same first name, that’s odd!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | July 25, 2019 4:13 PM |
I'd rather they play boyfriends.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | July 25, 2019 4:14 PM |
He's got GAY lips.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | July 25, 2019 4:47 PM |
I thought Christopher Abbott looked like Jon Snow?
by Anonymous | reply 44 | July 25, 2019 8:11 PM |
Question mark, r44? Upspeak or haven't made up your mind yet?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | July 25, 2019 8:12 PM |
I hope he's not mutilated.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | July 25, 2019 9:22 PM |
R46-Anteaters are nasty.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | July 26, 2019 12:28 AM |
Just finished the series, I had started it a while ago, but finally binged the rest of it. It was enjoyable, one of the more interesting things I’ve watched lately. I think they did a very good job evoking the time period, and the bombing runs were impressively well done.
There was plenty of eye candy, but not much nudity, until Christopher Abbot’s nudity at the end. Plenty of clear butt shots, and some out of focus dick flopping about. He certainly has nothing to be shy about.

I really enjoyed it when it came out in the summer. I ended up watching it twice. Abbott was excellent. I never read Heller's book so I probably am missing why some book readers hated it, but I always liked the Nichols film.
As for which other actor he reminds you of, Abbott and Kit Harington could absolutely play brothers. Hell, twin brothers. I like to imagine an updated Parent Trap where Kit is the snobby Brit who went to live with the mother, and Chris is the raunchy rough Yank twin who stayed with dad. They meet up as adults when one of the parents dies, and fall in love before they realize they're brothers. Hot.
