dear God that hair

Clearly had a nose job, but I think it’s the hair that is throwing me off. That makes her look very different. It’s her voice that has changed the most. She sounds like such a typical white trash Aussie bogan. She has tried to refine her drawl a bit

Let me tell you as a kid growing up in Australia while Nicole was a model (she wasn’t a very famous one) those of us who knew who she was were baffled as why this tall plain Jane ever got a gig. There were a million prettier girls. She had great hair but that’s it. It’s still mystifying how so much success came her way.

She refined the hell out of that odd jaw she had. Made all of the difference.

plastic surgeries on Nose, teeth, cheeks, and chin
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 15, 2019 9:44 PM |
well she clearly wanted it or she'd never have married TC

A teenaged Nicole modeling in a commercial, around 1983. I always thought she fairly striking looking and certainly stood out.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 15, 2019 9:48 PM |
Oh come on everyone is still growing into their skin at 16. The bone structure is still developing so the face will naturally transform without surgery

R3: The answer is ruthless ambition and steely determination.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 15, 2019 9:52 PM |
It looks to me to be more a result of losing weight/her face thinning out, than a ton of surgery.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 15, 2019 9:57 PM |
I'm pretty sure that over the years she had cheek implants put in then taken out and made smaller more than once and several facelifts. In fact, I've never seen cheeks change so much in one face. She looks decent now for her age. IMO she is a good actress most of the time and seems like a decent person when she's interviewed. Maybe she's not but she's good at playing the part of Nicole Kidman, down to earth person.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 15, 2019 9:59 PM |
She's no Cate Blanchett.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | May 15, 2019 10:02 PM |
She's always had a nice complexion.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | May 15, 2019 10:05 PM |
That guy interviewing her is sexy.

A whole laboratory of botox injected over the years.
She looks like a Madame Tussaud's replicant in the slobbering cover story photos of the current Vanity Fair.

The weirdest thing is that she had a bubbly, chatty personality. She is an ice queen now. A person doesn't change character [italic]that[/italic] much with age. I'm thinking her regal posturing, since she became an A-lister, is an act.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | May 15, 2019 10:20 PM |
I wonder if she was really born in 67, or if she knocked a few years off.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 15, 2019 10:34 PM |
Oh please R67 that's nothing. She could play my mothet

R15, wrote- That guy interviewing her is sexy.
His name is Molly Meldrum and he's gay. For years, he hosted Australia's top music program, Countdown. Now he's quite old and sickly and is being looked after by his Thai husband (they married in 2018).

I'm not entirely convinced that's the same person. I mean, she would have had to have her entire skull rebuilt piece by piece to get rid of that lug jaw. Curly hair and squinty eyes are the only common features and millions of people have those.

R21 Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 16, 2019 12:34 AM |
R21 I think it's just the lighting in that clip, the sun directly above her... Kidman was in the public eye constantly from '83 onwards in Aust, there was no way she took six months to recover from major jaw surgery. Lots of weight loss and perhaps minor refinements between '83 and '88, but not complete work. What strikes me most is the manners and voice change between the two videos. She sounds completely common in the first one, exactly like Pauline Hanson. No wonder she moved to Queensland!

She looks like some inbred hillbilly in OP's photo. God himself must have guided the surgeon's hands that fixed that mutt face.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | May 16, 2019 2:33 AM |
The most obvious is her nose. Probably her chin. A few other things. Weight loss and age changes a face too.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 16, 2019 2:48 AM |
She had her lips enlarged before she filmed her splashy coming out debut To Die For. Her upper lip was non-existent before that. They did a nice job, not too pouty. And her jaw definitely was tighter through fat loss or something else, maybe laser tightening? She was stunning between To Die For and Moulin Rouge.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 16, 2019 3:10 AM |
R17 She used to be so charming in interviews. I remember her on Letterman in the 90s, and I thought she was so adorable.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 16, 2019 3:44 AM |
Minor jaw surgery. Sometimes that alone, combined with orthodontics and perhaps extractions can cause dramatic change. Hers is certainly slimmer, more delicate and less bulky after. Joan Crawford had only her back teeth removed because she hated her lantern jaw and it completely transformed her looks... Of course, Kidman loves facelifts.

Nicole Kidman's first acting credit in 1983:

She's alright looking. Maybe a slight nose job.
Her hair looks so REFRESHING! It's so old it's fresh again! Sick of that played out Jessica Simpson hair look.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 14, 2019 12:49 AM |
Bullshit, op. You are an ignorant plastic surgery junky, we know that.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | August 14, 2019 12:51 AM |
Was that really 1983? Seems like a USA 1987 fashion wise. I hate how we're always a few years behind.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 14, 2019 12:51 AM |
Here's fashion in the USA 1983 at the same time. It was more like 1979 fashion!
by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 14, 2019 12:54 AM |
She is entirely stuffed with fillers now.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 14, 2019 1:11 AM |
Her playing the mother of young sons, in Lies, is preposterous, dated Hollywood bullshit. I now women become mothers in their 40s nowadays but Nicole is not playing her AGE, 52. Laura Dern is almost as preposterous but her character seems like her age, 52.
