Highpoint Market, the place to spy new trends in home decor has spoken. Shove all your grey shit out the window and start over!
Beige is back bitches! Banish your grey tones and get on board!

I love it!
Beige and gold are the new gray

Gray is a nice counterpoint to beige. So fuck off, please.

Leanne Ford will not be pleased.

That woman's portfolio! She very talented at creating a cheery young preppy aesthetic, but boy is it dumb, predictable and cloying. Not an ounce of true style or culture. I bet she does very well.

Two neutrals - go rub your nub

Or grayish beige—taupe.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 11, 2019 7:58 AM |
Beige never went out of style, nor did grey or taupe or ivory.

You have to admit that grey has sort of taken over for the last decade. It's on everywhere and everything, R7.

Why is all the furniture so drab right now???
Hideously ugly unfinished crap. Gray, brown, beige, ugh. Kill me now and zap me when they bring COLOR back.

Why would I take design advice from a nobody in Bangabuffalo, Washington?

Maybe High Point will be enough, R10?

Wake me up when there is a return of vibrant reds, blues, greens, and yellows.

R11 No, I’ll go to one of the Interior Design Expos. Preferably in a real city that doesn’t have livestock wandering through it.

Depends on who you're watching. Renovation shows on HGTV, or house tours with top decorators. Miles Redd, or Nick Olsen and many others.

Agree with R14. Some of the suggestions are just crazy over the top. I’m happy to see trellis rugs go buh-bye but the Great Aunt Augusta look gives me nightmares.

Many have noticed, R17, the rise of beige. Grey has been tracking for a decade. If you want to follow trends, do. But many are realizing that other things are taking place.

I recently bought a 1930s house - it has beautiful wooden floors and wooden features like doors and door/window surrounds, HOWEVER the previous owner painted it all in dark beige. Walls, ceilings all the features in the same dark beige colour as well as beige curtains and carpets. I've started the job of stripping the paint off the features, but it will take me a while to de-beige the house. It's like a horrific, claustrophobic cavern. As a result, I don't think I can ever accept beige into my life again.

If Beige is back today, that means Magnolia will be back tomorrow.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 12, 2019 8:45 AM |
Fuck beige, fuck gray, FUCK GRAY AND BEIGE TOGETHER!!
Wake me up when real color makes a comeback!

I wish the current dusty pink trend -- a nightmare from the 80s which has been disinterred by some evil decor queens, would be burnt and buried forever. The only thing worse would be mushroom pink.

I looked at pictures of "dusky pink décor", and my dick fell off.
I'm a girl now.

Not in my house!
