R3 it was probably more the shame and stigma than anything. Salling was done for, particularly in this country . I do wonder how the fuck he wound up with those predilections. Was he abused as a child? Or was he born with some messed up genes? Or maybe both.

I can't help but feel sad for this story. No defending him.....but sad

I never watched Glee or knew anything about him but, yeah, the whole thing was tragic.

I remember how sexy I thought he was on Glee, but I also remember thinking something was off. I never would have guessed it was a child porn thing, maybe I just thought he had depression or something. I do always wonder if there's any way he could have redeemed himself - certainly not as an actor in the U.S., but just in life - can people like that be rehabilitated in any way at all?

I believe part of the judgement against him was he had to make financial restitution to the victims in the photos and videos. I think he offed himself because he would have been financially ruined and he sure as hell was not going to get acting work when he came out. I believe his estate went to his family which was probably his intent.

He wasn’t going to get acting work but he could’ve worked as a mechanic or waiter and led a quiet life. Change his name and get an new identity.

I can’t imagine going through something like that and surviving.

R11, he was used to his freedom meaning he didn't have to work and he was probably financially independent because he didn't seem to live above his means. If the court took possession of his assets he would have had to work and he probably wasn't going to live the rest of his life working crap jobs.

Never read the CDAN blind item before. It's possible someone involved had him offed, but I don't get the sense Ryan Murphy is into all that pedo stuff.

Idk, suicide seems to be the most appropriate option when caught with CP. those guys aren’t housed in the White Collar prisons. He was a world-famous pedophile. His life was OVER. And judging by where he lived in LA, it wasn't going that great anyway.

This made me think of an episode of CSI when Chad Michael Murray was playing a celeb that killed some groups chick. They caught him, obviously, but all my horny self could think about was how much abuse a hot piece of ass, especially a celeb, would have in prison.

Bill Cosby must be religious as well cause after his verdict, suciicde sounds like a good option. The state should start offering that to inmates.
