I’m Betting it’s a girl.

Some poor surrogate is straining in a dungeon as we speak...
by Anonymous | reply 4 | May 6, 2019 12:58 PM |
Oh god, this is going to turn into "she induced labor on a bank holiday weekend for attention!" conspiracy theories, isn't it?
by Anonymous | reply 5 | May 6, 2019 12:58 PM |
Narc mothers are esp hard on girls. Hope it is a boy.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | May 6, 2019 12:59 PM |
And the prophecy is fulfilled.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | May 6, 2019 1:02 PM |
What have you done with his eyes???
by Anonymous | reply 9 | May 6, 2019 1:03 PM |
Nothing on CNN's feed. Nothing at all.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | May 6, 2019 1:04 PM |
I wonder what names she will call Harry. And a what point she wants some drugs? Most women cave. I don’t blame them though. Birth is very painful. Induced labor even more so. It was for me.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | May 6, 2019 1:05 PM |
CNN announced on their morning show around 8:45.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | May 6, 2019 1:07 PM |

Not to be alarmist, but reports coming in of jackals howling outside the hospital.....
by Anonymous | reply 18 | May 6, 2019 1:11 PM |
Praying the child will be as ugly as sin.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | May 6, 2019 1:13 PM |
She Went into labor middle of the night. They don’t know if she is at frog house or hospital. Harry is by her side. Baby could already be born.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | May 6, 2019 1:14 PM |
R20 According to SKY News they are NOT at FrogCott but she was taken to hospital.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | May 6, 2019 1:16 PM |
The hospital must in actuality be a military prison infirmary where as soon as the cord is cut a team of investigators will be grilling Meghan on her alleged "treason". Signed, skippy
by Anonymous | reply 22 | May 6, 2019 1:17 PM |
Perhaps they decided to induce. Or labor's not progressing and she'll have a c-section.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | May 6, 2019 1:18 PM |
Everyone is dying to know how black the baby will be.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | May 6, 2019 1:22 PM |
Watching the BBC and they know nothing about where she is, or anything other than what was formally announced. Lots of irritating pointless speculation from various 'experts' of course. All other new is now cancelled apparently. Why the hell didn't BP just wait to announce it once the sprog was born. This could go on for hours and days.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | May 6, 2019 1:22 PM |
The baby's probably been here for a week or two, I'm sure Meghan's travails are long over.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | May 6, 2019 1:24 PM |
Who gives a shit
by Anonymous | reply 28 | May 6, 2019 1:25 PM |
^ you do as you've taken the trouble to comment
by Anonymous | reply 29 | May 6, 2019 1:26 PM |
Meghan probably doesn’t want a c section. They aren’t as common in England as they are here.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | May 6, 2019 1:26 PM |
May 6th - great. Baby will share birthday with Orson Welles, Robespierre and Sigmund Freud. A nice day for megalomaniacs.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | May 6, 2019 1:27 PM |
Will Harry be changing the baby's diapers?
by Anonymous | reply 33 | May 6, 2019 1:29 PM |
Gross.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | May 6, 2019 1:29 PM |
Isn't it just Fwaaaabulous. My first blackamoor servant!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 35 | May 6, 2019 1:30 PM |
Very few women WANT c-sections, r30. Sometimes they're necessary if labor isn't progressing or the baby's breech.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | May 6, 2019 1:30 PM |
Do you think she'll die during child birth?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | May 6, 2019 1:31 PM |
Oh yeah, she definitely induced labor on a bank holiday weekend for attention.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | May 6, 2019 1:33 PM |
Most women have a lot of ideas before their first childbirth. Many end up doing everything to make sure the pain stops.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | May 6, 2019 1:33 PM |
No wonder she's in labor, there was a new moon only some 30+ hrs ago.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | May 6, 2019 1:34 PM |
Got some jealous, racist Queens on here. Grow a pair.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | May 6, 2019 1:34 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 47 | May 6, 2019 1:39 PM |
Well, Harry's life is over now. No matter how much he love s the kid, he's now attached to a very average LAgrifterFameWhore for life. Unless she dies in birth. Which she won't. Her sort of people never do.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | May 6, 2019 1:40 PM |
It's a boy! Harry just on TV.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | May 6, 2019 1:41 PM |
R45 I think you have wandered into the wrong place, shouldn't you be on the Kensington Palace Instagram abusing all their followers and Kate and William?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | May 6, 2019 1:41 PM |
Strongly suspect this kid was born a while ago, it's very odd the way this has been done.

Are you saying racist trolls LIE?
by Anonymous | reply 68 | May 6, 2019 1:48 PM |
oh, please, r58 and r61, 7 lb is not a gigantic baby. It's pretty standard for a full-term baby.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | May 6, 2019 1:49 PM |
Will she fry and eat the afterbirth?
by Anonymous | reply 70 | May 6, 2019 1:49 PM |

Harry realizes the baby is going to look like pre-surgery Meghan, right? He's not going to sue her when the boy looks fug is he?
Buyer beware!
A court in northern China has sided with an angry ex-husband, who sued his estranged wife for marrying him without disclosing her previous plastic surgeries.
Fuming hubby Feng Jian only found out about her wife’s scalpel-aided touch-ups after she gave birth to their baby daughter who was “ugly beyond description,” according to court papers cited by the Sina News.
Feng initially suspected his wife of having an affair. But after DNA tests proved he was the ugly duckling’s biological dad, she fessed up to having done $100,000 worth of cosmetic surgeries before they met.
A court ordered her to pay him $120,000 for his claims of marriage under false pretenses.
Plastic surgery is a huge topic of debate in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Japan.
A cosmetic surgery clinic in Hong Kong had fun with the phenomenon by launching a controversial advertising campaign.
The clinic’s ad showed a beautiful couple and their three not-so-pretty little kids, with the caption: “The only thing you have to worry about after plastic surgery is explaining it to your children.”

He is the Earl of Dumbarton at the very least--that's the courtesy title for the Duke of Sussex's eldest son.
He MAY be made a royal prince by the queen regardless, just as she changed the rules to make William and Catherine's children princes and princesses. But I would not bet on it. Charles has said he wants fewer royals in the royal family, and my guess is that that means Meghan and Harry's daughter's will stay non-royal.

Lord Dumbarton, and after Harry dies, Duke of Sussex.
The Queen didn't change the rules with regards to William's children. She changed the rules with regards to royal grandchildren not in the direct line to the throne -- that they would no longer be princes and princesses, due to the Fergie debacle.

Oh, there go all those lovely girl names we were hoping for.
I agree with poster upthread that narcissistic types like Meghan are better with sons than daughters - they see boys as added values but daughters as competition.
And that is a totally average size baby - even with a week overdue, that's not a big baby. Meghan clearly announced slightly early at Eugenie's wedding.

R166 I have seen him when he visits kids in Africa and in hospitals...he loves kids. Maybe he doesn’t like William and Kate’s kids. And why do I have to be a stalker? I like the Sussex family. I think it's great that England stands behind their country and shares in the Royal Family's joys and sorrows. And this is indeed a happy event. The U.S. could certainly learn something here if you could take a few moments to stop being jealous, crazy, hate-filled, envious little bitches.

Late in lifer- Lez here. Wow. I'm actually kind of stunned at the birthweight. 7lbs whatever at a week overdue is VERY low, kid should have come in at a minimum 9lbs. Silly actress wench must have been under-eating for her "figure" or some such nonesense, not that it made a difference. Not good for kid though.

That's not very low for one week "overdue." It's a little lower than you'd expect but not a concerning weight. Makes me wonder if they were a few days off in determining date -- is that still a possibility, or is it down to an exact to-the-minute determination of when the baby was conceived?

R176, I was just over 6 oz at birth and have always been healthy way into my senior years. No one needs to pig out during a pregnancy and it isn't healthy to gain a lot of weight. My guess is that she was eating sensibly and trying to do the right thing.
by Anonymous | reply 208 | May 6, 2019 3:03 PM |
R194 - No. They hate her because she's American.
The fact she's already been married (like that other American Wallis Simpson) doesn't help her cause. Diana was much loved and so Brits feel sorry for her two sons and want the best for them. Kate is a good fit for William. She does her job (attends events and pops out heirs) with a smile, knows her place in the family, and follows royal protocol in both dress and behavior. On the other hand, Meghan - the divorced trashy American two-bit actress who goes through help like Trump goes through employees at the White House - isn't a good fit for Harry at all. She's another Fergie. Nothing but trouble and it too will end in scandal and disaster.

by Anonymous | reply 242 | May 6, 2019 3:35 PM |
R235 - Which is why I'm betting on Charles. First, to pander the Meghan's only semi-ally in the BRF, the rest of them can't stand her with the possible exception of the Tindalls, she's been nothing but trouble, and second, Charles holds the "supplemental income" purse strings. And Charles harks back to Scotland.
So my bet is on Charles as the first name, but if they use Philip and Arthur, it will be a virtual replay of the PoW's full name.
I'll add Henry, and you'll have Charles Henry with a toss-up for the third name, where you could work in Philip or Arthur or Alexander.

There's a difference between DL's usual bitchery and the anti-Meghan freak trolls. They aren't witty or funny, they're just nasty, racist, and clearly obsessed. That's why it's impossible to have a thread on Meghan without them filling it up with diatribes and virulent comments. Anyone who disagrees is labeled a "paid for bot" because they can't accept the fact that most people are not insane like them. The Daily Mail comment threads skew right wing and racist and you can tell by what comments are upvoted there in any thread, so it's no surprise that they would flock to the Meghan threads to trash her and issue faux "concerns" (such as all the moronic commentary on the baby's weight). It's a similar situation here, these threads seem to attract the crazies.
I am not Meghan's biggest fan, but I admire her and Harry for being able to put up with this nonsense.
by Anonymous | reply 276 | May 6, 2019 3:59 PM |
More excitement over this birth than there was for Prince Louis. I think that's what the Palace has been worried about all along. R287 - Please, at this point the tabloids make up stuff out of whole cloth. Kate clearly enjoys motherhood and seems to be good at it, but getting pregnant with a fourth kid barely a year after her third, with the Queen at 93 and the Cambridges being prepped for the next step up, and grumblings about how many mouths there are already on the royal gravy train . . . why the fuck do it?

Someone on the other BRF thread made a comment about the announcement not having any physicians’ signatures and how M&H are dooming this kid to surrogate rumors for life. The contrast between Cambridge children with initial written pregnancy announcements, written birth announcement... the timeline and changing due date.. hospital vs home birth... they definitely could’ve tried a little harder to combat the rumors.

There was a DL poll not long ago on “favourite royal” and the results showed that Meghan is reasonably popular on DL. Meghan scored roughly the same as Harry and Kate and only a little less than Diana. Will and Charles were the only two massively unpopular ones. And the Queen was far and away the most popular.
I’ve always thought the Meghan bashing came from from only a handful of posters.
by Anonymous | reply 316 | May 6, 2019 4:48 PM |
R312, that is ridiculous. If there had been surrogacy, someone in the palace would have known. It would have been impossible to keep the secret for months. Plus, it does not strike me that Harry would have operated this way. Finally, even if Meghan is the worst grifter, she would know better than to not have the child herself. There was likely someone from the palace there to witness the delivery, even if it was a nurse or medical equivalent. This isn't the Kardashians or Beyonce, as much as some would like to think so.

So this baby has quite the horoscope, which was discussed briefly upthread. Saturn sitting squat on the MH but conjunct the south node - my my. Sun in Taurus on the ascendant will give him quite the ego, this aspect is almost Leonine in nature imo and harkens back to his mother's leo placements. Moon just squeaked over the line into Gemini, with Merc ruling in Aries (also rules his mars) - quite the communicator this one, media expert junior will handle the press well.
Will do a comp with the parents shortly. Harry has Capricorn placements. There are key degrees in Cancer that many of the jr royals (Cambridge kids) share, will see if this one does - north node is at 19 degrees.

by Anonymous | reply 347 | May 6, 2019 6:17 PM |
thanks r339. I've got a ton of royal fam charts open in my browser right now, am doing a fly-by comparison and will make these comments:
not many links between baby S. and his mom. More jump out with Dad (Harry): Harry's saturn on S's descendant, S's moon conjunt Harry's north node (karmic baby! - off by a degree out of sign but still important); and a lovely wide sun-moon conjunction - very very nice.
Just noticed with Mom (Meghan) her pof part of fortune conjuncts his moon, which is lucky to see. but not as many aspects as with Harry.
not much linkage with Diana's chart, which would make sense as he'll never meet her. A few links with Grandpa Charles but nothing major. Striking: his saturn/nodal axis exactly conjuncts the Queen's.
Also VERY striking, to any astrologer: his asc-desc axis exactly cnjs George's nodes & Charlotte's sun. Uncle William's saturn is cnj his vertex, Aunt Kate's sun/nodes cnj his nodes/Saturn (nodes & saturn in synastry comparisons always denote karmic involvement - when both are involved its strong); Prince Louis's mars is also here.
Sorry this is very flyby, will try to post more later. May do a main post - missed the births of the other royal kids here to do this.
by Anonymous | reply 348 | May 6, 2019 6:24 PM |
R338, what caught my attention was his packed 12th house. It includes a Mercury in Aries conjunct Uranus, across signs in Taurus. The queen has a similar aspect with a Mercury in Aries as well and Uranus across signs in Pisces. This conjunction is also conjunct the part of fortune, adding more energy to it. But he'll have to work a bit to access it from the 12th house. His Venus in Aries is also in the 12th conjunct the asteroid Vesta. That would seem to add a bit of a service orientation to Venus, but, again, he'll have to work to access it. That Aries Venus will also probably bring a love of the outdoors.
He shares the Saturn conjunct midheaven with his grandmother, as well as the Taurus son. He has the added Pluto as well, square to Mercury and Venus. He may have trouble with all the public demands until he is able to work it through.

Good stuff r349. His 12th is packed isn't it? Open T-square with jup-mars headed by neptune in pisces. Acting or the arts in his future?
good comment re QEII and her saturn also cnj MH. Harry has this as well - echos with his new son. Responsibility in this life? That's what I always think when I see saturn on an angle, esp the MH.
Baby S's uranus in early taurus comes close to that key Sun (Queen)-Moon (Charles) conjunction at 0 taurus. Prince Louis's sun is here as well.
by Anonymous | reply 353 | May 6, 2019 6:33 PM |
Forgot to mention, depending on your choice of house system, Neptune could also be in the 12th. I use the Koch system, which puts it in the 11th but Placidus puts it in the 12th.

I have three family members with venus and aries and find it gives much impulsiveness in relationships, and in general. Verbally impulsive. But the 12th house placement might soften this effect - ?
by Anonymous | reply 356 | May 6, 2019 6:36 PM |
Possibly, R356. I suspect with the double Taurus, that may modify the Venus/Mercury impulsivity as well. I was just worried that with the hidden Venus and Mercury, he'd take longer to talk and there would be a lot of pressure on him to appear "normal", esp with the squares to Saturn and Pluto. He's fine, but the 12th house is hidden so the development may be hidden as well, while he sorts it out. I could see a lot of public pressure to know about him (as discussed by royal reporters mentioned earlier) and parents demanding privacy to let him do his thing.
by Anonymous | reply 357 | May 6, 2019 6:48 PM |
Meg is definitely more popular here than Charles and Camilla. Those hatchet faced hoes will never be forgiven for what they did to Diana.
Brits love a bit of Hollywood glamour so Meg is already well liked. I love the way Harry came out for a chat, as is typical in US A List circles, instead of Meg being paraded like a show pony hours after the birth, as Kate was.
by Anonymous | reply 358 | May 6, 2019 6:49 PM |
R356, I have Venus and Mars in Aries and when I was younger, I was fairly impulsive in relationships. But as I've gotten older, the Capricorn ascendant kicked in and I became much more discriminating.

I like to analyze the relationships among them all, with the assumption on my part that Meghan is a full-fledged Narcissist. But also not giving any of them a pass, except Anne.
It’s fun to try on the conspiracy theories and speculate about all the different things we don’t actually know about. It was also fun when it was discussing her outfits and shoes and makeup. Maybe we can get back to that.
It’s not that serious, though. It has no direct bearing on any of our lives, yet some kooks here are very invested.

I never hear them talked about on the Tube or in shops or anywhere else. Naturally, the media have to play stuff like this up - I would say the same is true for all the other royal births, as well. The only one that really mattered was Kate's first, because it's the next generation heir, so that generated a bit more genuine public interest. This kid means absolutely nothing and will be headed for obscurity as soon as Prince George marries and has a kid.

A quick glance at skippyisheretostay confirms that old saying, "The truth never changed anybody's mind." I was slightly hoping for a girl purely because parents tend to be more creative with girls' names. I have a feeling they'll go with a dull name like Arthur.
by Anonymous | reply 395 | May 6, 2019 9:10 PM |
R392 - I go back and forth on the marriage lasting. By the time she pops out the obligatory second kid, she'll be over forty and everyone will be tired of their virtue-signalling bullshit they won't be the newest kids on the block any longer and Meghan will probably realise she's never going to get a better gig and just roll with what she managed to get at 35.
R395 - Yes, that's how I feel, I was looking forward to a raging debate over Lady Diana Elizabeth Alexandra Victoria Violet Alice Mary . . . the boys' names will be much duller unless they name it Elton.
I'm still betting on Charles - it's the right time (skipped over with William and Harry) bound to please Daddy Wales Warbucks, and will also please the Scots.
So my prediction remains Charles Henry Arthur -or Charles Arthur Henry.

As I've stated before, I can't believe Kate would go for a fourth baby at this juncture, especially as William expressed doubts about having a third child and was moreover made to look a hypocrite when Kate turned up pregnant with a third after he'd talked about small families and population growth.
That said, it might just be worth it to the Cambridges (and the Queen) to push Harry down to seventh and his (eventual) two kiddies down to eighth and ninth, making HRHs and royal roles for them absurd.

R396, it might not be her choice. I can see Harry wanting out down the road. He might get sick of her overbearing ways and go back to a someone simpler. I'm sure he'll have a couple of mistresses in the future. Don't they all?
R400, I'm assuming that was a (tasteless) joke. I think that would give the BRF and the public a collective heart attack. I can't see this kid being anything other than passably white. Since it's a boy, they'll keep his hair short, so the kinky hair that both parents have won't be a giveaway.
I can see Kate having a 4th kid at some point.
by Anonymous | reply 404 | May 6, 2019 9:39 PM |

Hint - all THREE of her pregnancies. Yes, she has bad morning sickness. No, it didn't stop her from having two more kids. I suspect Kate really wants to equal the number of children HM had.

Markle wanted privacy. She's got it. Everyone is over the announcement already, and the kid is only a few hours old. When the Jesus, Mary and Joseph make their appearance in a day or two, there will be another flutter of activity, and then that too will be over. She wants privacy. She's got it. No one cares just a matter of a few hours into day one. And once we see the Christ child perhaps on day three, no one will care at the end of that day either.

The only blow to this kid’s long term relevance is he’s male. The one place sexism benefits females is acceptance for doing nothing more than being pretty.
Female celebuspawn have a much easier time doing the model/influencer/etc. Males are expected to do something - even if it’s a useless title in the family business.
Rob Kardashian was s not of a joke when he was doing the exact same thing his sisters all do. It’s just not as accepted.
A female baby would have coasted up until about 12 on clothing alone. From 12 on, as long as she was fit and reasonably attractive (or good with makeup), she could keep coasting.
I think a girl would be much better for the brand. I guess there wasn’t invitro where you can pick the sex or I think they would have picked a girl.

[quote][R323] Her shoes...they’re huge.
Didn't you know that Markle has started a trend for wearing shoes at least a size and a half too large? It's been consistently noted across her appearances. The prevailing theories are a) that she has bunions, in which case it would be advisable to avoid five inch stripper stilettos; and b) that she is getting freebies to merch which come in a standard sample size and she wears them regardless of fit. Her efforts at dressing would suggest the latter. Her expensive luxury label clothes rarely fit well (that awful too-tight dress she wore in Ireland that outlined her bra was probably the worst), have poor stitching, pucker at seams, etc., suggesting the items are samples or QC discards that the fashion houses channel to her through Jessica Mulroney.
by Anonymous | reply 443 | May 6, 2019 11:56 PM |

There is no standard sample size for shoes. Even catwalk models can be any size from 4-8 (UK). She's most likely a very standard size 5 or 6 UK but the shoes always look bigger next to her slender legs and ankles.

R437 - It isn't a question of "not liking" your opinion, it's a question of not giving your lunatic opinion even minimal respect, when it's based on the fact that you have some sisters who had babies some time in "middle age" (Meghan is 37, not 50) so you know for a fact that she perpetrated a faked pregnancy on the entire British public, whose taxpayers helped renovate her little "cottage".
Yes, it makes you a tin hatted moron. The risks of perpetrating a fraud like that are so massive it beggars description, and you're also ipso fct accusing the BRF of either colluding in it or being too dumb to notice.
Jesus. Go back to skippyisheretostay or torontopaper or dripdrop or wherever else people out of touch with reality congregate to reinforce each other's hallucinations.
I can't stand Meghan, frankly, but hey - she got herself up the duff fast whilst under 40 so she could get her insurance policy out there, and she just had that insurance policy, herself. End of story.

R444 37 isn't middle-aged. Sophie Wessex was older that Meghan when she had children. Many women in their mid 30s get pregnant naturally. Fertility decreases after 35 but it doesn't fall to 0.

R459 - Agree - they don't change those titles five years later, no matter what the technicalities are. They go on with the titles they're born with. Unless the Queen changes her mind, which isn't likely, especaily if she suspects for a moment that Kate might go for a fourth, the Sussex kids are going to stay lower-ranked royals. It's more than Meghan Markle could ever have expected for her progeny, she should be grateful.
I still think it possible she'll find a way to get herself and Harry and her kids out of the BRF, but with their titles, before they have to curtsy to William and Kate and the Cambridge's little prince.
by Anonymous | reply 462 | May 7, 2019 12:55 AM |

by Anonymous | reply 463 | May 7, 2019 12:56 AM |
R459 that's incorrect.
Baby Sussex is a great-grandchild and the rule applies to children and grandchildren of the monarch. The queen didn't change the rules because of Fergie. The rules were changed to make all the Cambridge children HRH at birth instead of when their grandfather become king since they are in the direct line and even if Charles dies before Liz, William will ascend and they will become HRH anyway. That situation doesn't apply to baby Sussex.

R462 The monarch has the right to change people's titles and the queen has done so throughout her reign.
William and Harry were granted dukedoms upon marriage. That's a change in title. It is widely believed that Edward will get his father's title after his father's death. That's why he was only given an earldom. It is expected that he will become the next Duke of Edinburgh.
If Charles becomes king the Sussex child(ren) will be entitled to receive the HRH title. Whether (t)he(y) take it, remains to be seen.

R459 I usually don’t bother to correct the people on these threads who present opinion as fact and who repeat what they’ve seen on Tumblr as gospel, but your post is so wrong and so stupid that it can’t be let go without correction.
According to the Letters Patent of 1917 (google it - I don’t have the patience to educate people like you) the new-born son of the Duke of Sussex will become HRH Prince whatever when his grandfather becomes King. He is currently known by his father’s subsidiary title Earl of Dumbarton, again as per the Letters Patent if 1917. But not before then.
This has nothing to do with Fergie. It has nothing to do with his being a great grand child of the current monarch. It’s just how it works. It’s also how it would have worked with the Cambridge children - according to the Letters Patent of 1917, Prince George was entitled to be HRH Prince, Charlotte and Louis were not, unless HM the Queen intervened, which she did, granting the HRH and Prince/ss style and title to the younger children of the Duke and a Duchess of Cambridge.
Don’t make stuff up - you only look stupid.

I really don't think it's healthy for family dynamics to have brothers and sisters and cousins and sisters-in-law curtesy to each other and ranked in a hierarchy. I mean I know that is literally their family business but imagine for a second if they were just a normal family with normal jobs, their relationships with each other would be so different I imagine. Baby Sussex will become an HRH the moment Charles becomes King, unless otherwise decreed before his ascension. I'm guessing they'll let the Sussex kids become HRH in due course as the rules now stand.
Bea and Euge, as granddaughters of the monarch in the male line, were entitled to HRHs at birth, again as the LP of 1917 stands. Harry kids are great-grandchildren and as such, need to wait until Grandpa Charles becomes King.
The only great grandchild entitled to HRH at birth per the 1917 rules was George, and only if he was a boy. When Kate announced her 1st pregnancy, the Queen issued an 'update' of the rule to make all the Cambridge offspring HRHs, whether 1st born or boy/girl.

by Anonymous | reply 516 | May 7, 2019 3:12 AM |
r514 Edward's kids are in fact HRH, he and Sophie just decided not to style them that way before they were born, and the Queen agreed.
Much like how Camilla is actually in fact Princess of Wales, but is styled "Duchess of Cornwall" to appease the Diana fans who would be offended by her using her real title. It's a styling change.

Thank you, R509 - R484 here. Also a faggot!
Your post covers what I didn’t have the patience to say. It’s very straight forward and those have been the rules for 102 years now. But it seems to trigger the Markle obsessives who can’t read and, if they can, don’t like what they are reading!
It’ll be amusing to see their reaction if Charles dies before his mother and their little Lord Dumbarton never gets the HRH.
Of course the Queen can issue an update to grant the HRH Prince style and title to the Sussex offspring if she wants to. But she hasn’t, so I guess that she doesn’t want to.

[quote]Of course the Queen can issue an update to grant the HRH Prince style and title to the Sussex offspring if she wants to. But she hasn’t, so I guess that she doesn’t want to.
The Queen has signaled her position on this subject, re Harry's kids, by staying silent and not issuing anything. They will be non-HRH for now, and become HRH when Charles becomes King. That is, of course, unless 'things change' and they decide it best to keep the Sussex kids non-HRH. Then she will issue a statement to that effect.
by Anonymous | reply 520 | May 7, 2019 3:20 AM |
Incorrect R517. Ed's kids are ENTITLED to be HRH and Prince/Princess, but they are not. And Duchess of Cornwall is not a fake title, it's a secondary title.
by Anonymous | reply 521 | May 7, 2019 3:26 AM |
r521 I didn't say DofC is a 'fake ' title, please re-read the post. It's not her PRIMARY actual title, which is Princess of Wales. DofC is secondary, and she (and Charles) choose to have her styled using that as her primary title.
The Wessex children are legally HRHs. They are STYLED as Lady Louise and Viscount Severn (non-HRH). This was via statement out out by QEII when Sophie and Edward married, which only mentioned styling.
There is actually some who hold the train of thought that Louise and James can begin using their HRH when the reach majority age, as that's their legal rank. It was never taken away.

Maybe the queen is staying silent for a day or two and waiting to grant an HRH on the Christ child when Harry and Markle announce a name...then the HRH style may come at the same time as the name...and when Markle is fully satisfied that she has had enough privacy. Such a prima donna.

R527, Diana would have adored Meghan. She loved popular culture - George Michael, Duran Duran, Dynasty. She would have watched Suits and gossiped to MM about LA and clothes.

'Tamera Mowry's kids have the same basics as SoHoBebe: Black maternal grandmother, white everyone else. As you can see, the mileage may vary'
Doria is mixed race. MM is 25% black and her son will be 12.5% black. Probably have blue eyes and auburn hair with a gold skintone. Has the potential to be very handsome.

Kid is hardly black. He's less than 20% black. African Americans are essentially biracial/mixed. Doria is probably a quarter white/Brit or Scots Irish herself like most Af Americans with Anglo last names therefore Meghan has white blood from her mother too. Whoopi Goldberg is 8% white.
A true biracial is someone like Barack Obama with a purely black African father and a white mother.

Appearance doesn't manifest based on a straight percentage of DNA. That's why siblings with the same two parents don't look the same.
People in the royal threads constantly say that Harry "doesn't look enough" like the Windsors, proving that he's not really one, but that's not how it works. You get 50% of your DNA from each parent, but there are variants in alleles which cause significant variation in appearance and genetic makeup. Every human is roughly 99.9% the same in our DNA makeup -- that 0.1% makes all the difference.
My partner and his siblings are all 1/4 Japanese from their father's side and the rest white (German, mostly) and while they look Asian, he doesn't look Asian at all. It's caused quite a bit of familial strife because his siblings are dumb as hell and think like too many people do: "If you don't LOOK Asian then you're not a relative." But he looks exactly like his father, just with pale German skin. It happens.

Many, many African Americans have white genes as part of their genetic makeup, and that should be obvious to anyone. And I'm not referring to just skin color and tone. It's also found in the facial features, as well as the body shape at times. Compare pictures of Doria Ragland with pictures of authentic black women born and raised in Africa. It's plainly evident to me that Doria has some caucasian in her genetic makeup.
by Anonymous | reply 565 | May 7, 2019 12:57 PM |

[quote]Compare pictures of Doria Ragland with pictures of authentic black women born and raised in Africa. It's plainly evident to me that Doria has some caucasian in her genetic makeup.
Black Americans are not Africans (which in itself is a vastly diverse group of people, there is more genetic diversity among Africans than the rest of the human population combined), they have been in America for centuries and yes of course there is intermingling with white people and amerindian people.
Doria is a standard american black woman, why you would compare her to an "African" woman I do not know.
by Anonymous | reply 569 | May 7, 2019 1:08 PM |
No, R568 - I'm merely stating the facts as they stand. Why you or anyone else would feel UNCOMFORTABLE with the TRUTH is beyond me. I'll state it again - truth and fact - that's the ticket! Aye. I speak from generational experience. Both my maternal great grandparents were biracial. Therefore, my maternal grandmother was biracial as well. My mother's father was a black man with obvious white genetics as well, though he had darker skin. My own father was a white man with an Anglo name, so even though I am greatly disproportionately black, and I have been mistaken for being entirely white many times, I am still a black man. I'll take it even further - my daughte's mother is partly English and Scottish, yet my daughter looks a great deal like my mother, and her skin color is just a shade darker than mine. My reference to comparing an "authentic black woman born and raised in Africa" to Doria Ragland is valid to the point I am making - although we African Americans are certainly considered to be black, there is no denying the fact that many of us are also genetically part white as well. There exists a notable difference in the appearances of absolute Africans and many, many "African Americans. Therefore, in my original reply with the baby picture, I am accurate in my statements supporting the fact that Doria is, in fact, of mixed race as is my daughter, my mother, grandparents, and great grandparents, and myself.
by Anonymous | reply 570 | May 7, 2019 1:26 PM |

by Anonymous | reply 571 | May 7, 2019 1:28 PM |
^ What does that have to do with the genesis of my point? Nothing - not a damned thing, and you know it. Typically, you're just someone who wants to come along and throw a monkey wrench all up into the point I'm making. I know from what parts of Africa the American slave trade originated. I also know that there exist lighter skinned Africans - reference Ethiopia, for example. But I'm not talking about them - I'm talking about these folks here in this pic. Pardon me, R571, but what EXACTLY is the point that YOU'RE trying to make? You don't have one. You just replied so that you could bitch and moan.

If people in the UK don't like Meghan, it's likely mostly because she's from the US and specifically Southern California. I'm an American living in London, and the anti-American sentiment I deal with on a daily basis can be extreme. I take pains to be quiet, polite, and blend in as well as possible, but I frequently get all kinds of rude things assumed about me simply from hearing my accent. There's also some culture clash going on; for example, Meghan works hard and gets up early. This is a typical American work ethic and led to royal staff finding her aggressive and demanding. Most people would seem that way compared to the royal family, who do as little work as possible. I have no idea what Meghan is like in her private life, but her position and situation can't be easy.
by Anonymous | reply 581 | May 7, 2019 2:41 PM |
There aren't black and white genes as far as I've read. Genetic profiles are more closely linked to geography. An African American whose family has been in the US for generations will be different from an Afro Caribbean person whose family has been in the Caribbean for generations will be different from an Afro Kenyan whose family has been in Kenya for generations.
My understanding is that the African American could have a genetic profile more similar to a European American from the same region of the US than they would have to a Afro Kenyan, even though they may look more like the Kenyan.
That said, Doria is a black person for census purposes. 50 years ago Meghan would have been too. Now she's considered biracial and Baby Sussex would count as multi-ethnic.

It seems to be a Tumblr conspiracy formula: gatorfisch knows that one day Sophie Hunter Cumberbatch will also be arrested for her crimes, which include people-trafficking - that's right, people-trafficking. These bloggers keep their followers by periodically assuring them that "something" is about to happen, or more information is about to come to light, an arrest, a divorce - anything to keep the little family of believers around them, even though Cumberbatch not only never divorces Hunter, he keeps having kids with her, and MeAgain, however irritating and cunty, never gets arrested because irritating and cunty aren't hanging matters.
Someone once ran a parody of the gatorfish benedict's-third-testicle khan's-pets type blogs called, sophiehunteratemybaby . . . it was hilarious but alas eventually gave up the ghost - probably dying of disgust.
