[quote]First off, I think Huston was mocking Diane Keaton for doing POMS, not Jacki Weaver, who quite frankly, is probably not even on Huston's radar.
It was Jacki's role in Poms that Anjelica turned down hence Jacki feeling attacked. Anjelica was never offered Diane's role as the people behind the movie had also done Book Club and were eager to work with her again. Diane was always their first choice.
[quote]We were waiting for Anjelica Huston, who was playing Morticia, to come out of her trailer. There was some issue she had that dared not be discussed and she was refusing to come to the set. There was a very long wait for Miss Huston. Finally, after several hours, she deigned to arrive.
And yet Anjelica went after Eddie Murphy for doing the exact same thing. Huh.
She shits over other actors' career choices yet she hasn't done a quality movie since The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001. She's had 48 acting credits since then and, with the exception of the new John Wick sequel which will at least be a fun action movie, the rest have been forgettable and/or barely released junk including a Lifetime Channel remake of a bad Bette Davis movie directed by Melissa Joan Hart.
She also claimed in either this interview or another that she's afraid of surgery, strongly implying she's above having it yet we're all expected to think she got rid of her giant Bruce Vilanch neck how exactly?
Remember last year when Joan Collins was telling the story of how she got her role in American Horror Story? She was at some Oscar party and Ryan Murphy gushed over her and told her he was going to write a role for her that season then, just as she was leaving, Anjelica sidled up to her and let it be known that Ryan had asked her first. Such a cunty thing to do to another actress. But, as Joan told James Cordon to much laughter: "Anyway, she didn't get it. I did."
Everything she complains about in others she's guilty of herself: the bad career choices, the arriving late to set, the plastic surgery, the drug-taking, the fucking around behind her partner's back, the general shitty behavior. But isn't that often the case? One sees it here on DL all the time.
I'm still a fan because I long ago realized that the most talented people tend to be the worst human beings (including her pals Roman and Woody) and so have learned to separate the artist from the person.
