What will Prince Harry and Meghan call their Baby?

Guess the name of Baby Sussex.

by Anonymousreply 81May 4, 2019 6:42 PM

Fugtastic. lol.

by Anonymousreply 1May 2, 2019 7:16 PM

Most people seem to think the baby will be a girl.

by Anonymousreply 2May 2, 2019 7:18 PM

I think that baby will be Vanessa, if a girl!

by Anonymousreply 3May 2, 2019 7:18 PM

And ishouldn't that Alfred be Albert?

by Anonymousreply 4May 2, 2019 7:19 PM

I am doubtful about Victoria, just because of Sweden. I guess if she wants a "traditional" name she'd pick one that's not being used currently, ie Alice.

by Anonymousreply 5May 2, 2019 7:21 PM

R4, Alfred is more popular and is shortened to Alfie. There was a King Alfred back in medieval times.

by Anonymousreply 6May 2, 2019 7:23 PM

Elizabeth Diana.

Charles William Philip

by Anonymousreply 7May 2, 2019 7:25 PM

Alicia Angela

by Anonymousreply 8May 2, 2019 7:26 PM

I think they'll go with Merry.

[quote]Most people seem to think the baby will be a girl.

Why would most people think they know anything about the gender? You can guess, but on what basis would anyone think anything? How do they know?

by Anonymousreply 11May 2, 2019 7:52 PM

I hope she has a girl. I think she'll either go for something...

Traditional: Lady Alice Elizabeth Diana

OR

Trendy: Lady Ava, Lady Emma, Lady Amelia, Lady Olivia etc...

OR

A Nature Name: Lady Violet, Lady Iris, Lady Rose (finger to Kate and Will)

by Anonymousreply 12May 2, 2019 7:52 PM

Mellivora Miasma.

by Anonymousreply 13May 2, 2019 7:58 PM

Boy: Alexander, Christian, Christopher, Nicholas, Philip or Edmund.

Girl: Alice, Victoria, Eleanor, Matilda, Helena, Hannah (instead of Anna or Anne), Dorothea (for Meghan's mother Doria), Elizabeth (to suck up to the Queen), Diana (I hope it's a middle name only).

by Anonymousreply 14May 2, 2019 8:01 PM

Myla Melanctha Megara.

by Anonymousreply 15May 2, 2019 8:02 PM

Margarita Mimosa.

by Anonymousreply 16May 2, 2019 8:06 PM

Gender is a lie.

M&H will choose the gender neutral name, Plank.

DIE-ana is an unfortunate name.

by Anonymousreply 25May 2, 2019 9:21 PM

The BRF likes multiple given names so I hope they go for "Betty Lou Thelma Liz."

by Anonymousreply 34May 2, 2019 10:01 PM

Not Katherine.

by Anonymousreply 35May 2, 2019 10:03 PM

I told you already. The baby was born two months ago in Morocco. They call him Morocco.

by Anonymousreply 36May 2, 2019 10:04 PM

They should go with Isadora if it's a girl. A more adventurous alternative to the uber-popular Isobel/Isabella; the "dora" sound would honour Meghan's mother Doria; posh enough to be royal but unusual enough to show imagination; Izzy is a cute nickname. And they should only give the kid one middle name (Diana, if it's a girl): it'll make them look more down-to-earth.

by Anonymousreply 37May 2, 2019 10:07 PM

Richie Rich.

Samantha, after her beloved half-sister.

Welfare Beneficia Tax Burdenia (as she will be lovingly known by UK taxpayers).

William Hill currently has Albert second to Arthur as the likeliest name for a boy. Why? Prince Albert is the name of a dick piercing (yes, the baby's title would be Earl, but that won't stop people making jokes). Next is James at 16/1. Why would they name him that after all the rumours about Hewitt being Harry's dad?

None of those have star power , Markle will want pulling power. Isn't Pippa's son Arthur?

by Anonymousreply 43May 2, 2019 11:51 PM

Harreghan, which combines both their names. If it's a girl, they can just add the feminine "e" after it (Harreghane).

by Anonymousreply 44May 3, 2019 12:25 AM

Maybe Rosa or Maya after civil rights heroines.

by Anonymousreply 46May 3, 2019 12:34 AM

Eleanor (FDR, also Aquitaine).

Dorothea (vaguely Doria-esque)

by Anonymousreply 47May 3, 2019 12:47 AM

It will be a spin on a traditional name. Not Alice, but Alicia. Not Rose, but Rosa.

by Anonymousreply 48May 3, 2019 12:48 AM

Suck up to her mother-in-law? ---> "Camillionaira"

by Anonymousreply 49May 3, 2019 12:50 AM

Dodi

by Anonymousreply 50May 3, 2019 2:40 AM

They will prefer a gender neutral name, just like their nursery decor (in boring grey colour).

Meghan will pitch smthg like Madison, but the Mountbattens will veto it.

It’s a shame they dropped their real German surname. Monty Mountbatten would make a great name.

R4 Queen Vic had a son named Alfred. Several hospitals in Oz are named after him.

by Anonymousreply 57May 4, 2019 4:35 AM

R41 Doubt if they would go for James, given that there is already one in the family. I’m thinking Alexander or Adelaide.

by Anonymousreply 58May 4, 2019 4:38 AM

Jerome or Tyrone if a boy.

by Anonymousreply 66May 4, 2019 11:51 AM

If it is a girl, I think they will go full suck up and name it Betty.

Is naming a kid "junior' verboden in royal circles such as Harry Jr? They could call the kid Henry, which is Harry's real first name.

by Anonymousreply 73May 4, 2019 5:03 PM

They will name a girl Orpah which is Oprah's given name on her birth certificate and so Oprah will forever be the Duchess of Frogmore's #1 cheerleader.

by Anonymousreply 74May 4, 2019 5:17 PM

R74 - actually Winfrey's parents wanted to name her Orpah (Biblical name) but someone screwed up the spelling on the birth certificate. I believe her real name is Oprah.

by Anonymousreply 75May 4, 2019 5:19 PM

Isn’t there already a thread on the BRF?

by Anonymousreply 76May 4, 2019 6:03 PM
