I seriously doubt Paul is ever coming back. If he does, it will be a short run. He is not a priority for Sony, NBC and the executive producers at Days.

Well, Paul is still being mentioned, so the show is keeping its options open.

Someone here once succinctly summarized how FCF to Will is like is like Lucas to Sami. .. Paul is an intermediary like Austin or Rafe. .. But Will Whoreton still needs to find his E.J.

Will may never get the chance. With the legal drama between Days of Our Lives and Sony Pictures Television, it's partial owner and distributer, and Warner Bros. Pictures buying up the Burbank Studios where Days is located, the show may only be here for a bit. If worse comes to worse, the show will air until September 2020. In that case all I ask is that Ron not be the writer of the series finale.

Right now, the third part of the triangle (there's always a triangle) is the tumor. Eventually they'll have to introduce a new gay male.

All the medical and/or legal drama is designed to keep the gay sex down to an absolute minimum. The old farts still can't handle it.

Will is getting a job teaching a writing class at Salem U this summer. All those little twinks better watch out when Professor Horton enters class.

Maybe Henry will be in the class and without naming names will go on long conversations with Will about his older crush. Until he figures out Will’s has him. Drama will ensue.

The thing is Ron had already mapped out Will's amnesia storyline ending with Will choosing Sonny. He has made that known in multiple interviews since 2017/2018. Ron basically said in early 2018, when Horita was hot, that we all should be rooting for Will and Sonny as the endgame in this years long triangle saga. Fine, but he wrote trash for all 3 characters on the way there, and is still writing trash. If Ron were fired, I would not lose a wink of sleep.

I do not see them letting go of Ron (though I wish).

I can see chemistry and I don't think Will and Sonny EVER had it. Sonny was the booby trap. We wanted Will with EJ - that chemistry was off the charts and what a 1st for tv that could have been - a love triangle between Mother, liover and son. Alas it never happened. The recast Will only came alive in that hotel room sex with Paul. Chandler's return only got hot - with Paul. It's like how can you not see this???

Will has been sidelined since he came back. His return was overshadowed by JJ shooting Theo. And the finale of the return with amnesia storyline, was overshadowed by whoever shooting Marlena. That is not about Chambo.

Gabi is the mom, also Rafe’s sister. She was Will’s last (and mostly platonic) girlfriend while he was figuring things out before coming out. The kid’s name is Ari or Arianna-Grace. They were doing some sort of throuple-parenting thing and even shared a two-br apt. Things changed when Sonny bailed after Will’s murder (au revoir ma petite and all that good stuff) and changed again when they brought Sonny back (and probably changed head writers again).

We can all guess what caused Will's tumor... Seems like Will is only on once a week these days (and not at all the past week). This is such a backburner story... it's more of an excuse to get Sami back into town later on.

This no times a week, once a week, or twice a week has been the recent (as in the last 2 years) standard for the gay characters (...except Leo, but he was set to exit). There was almost a full month last year of no times a week.

The worst last year was October 2018 when Will was in only 2 episodes for the whole month, October 2 and 23, 2018.

What is the point in bringing up how easy it can be to win a young actor Emmy*, or that politics can come into play with votes? Sometimes a win is objectively deserved and can stand on its own. Such was the case with young Chambo. He had many good scenes (and scenes that were not related to Will's sexuality), besides what was submitted for the 3 Emmy wins. Back then the reels (and many of the scenes not submitted) were good enough to compete in the best supporting category or above, according to entertainment journalists.

I just watched on YT the 1st 5 kisses of Will and Paul and you can SEE Chandler excited in his scenes with Christopher Sean.

R224 That's because it was NU to them and they built their chemistry and rapport from scratch. In contrast, Chambo and FCF never could get past the rut they got into the last year they worked together in 2013 when WilSon settled into a domestic couple. All we get from WilSon these days is declaration of love and platitudes.

That is literally all that was - and is - needed to fix the on-screen chemistry between Will and Sonny. Build back up the casual interactions. Chambo is not allergic to FCF, or vice versa. CM agreed to come back, having the expectation that Will would be paired with Sonny. The point being CM was fine working with FS again. But Ron C cannot write an amnesia storyline worth a shit. He did not write a build up, except for little scenes here and there, but rather he pushed Will to Paul then dropped the amnesia in the blink of an eye and had Will fully turn to Sonny. Any viewer paying attention to the scenes and dialogue from the beginning could see this coming, but the direction and execution were shit. Now we are stuck on a repeat of non-casual scenes, with a repeat of non-casual dialogue. It is just disjointed.

Ron destroyed every characters' credibility and made them all suck. He's no better than Dena, just an ordinary hack.

I still like Will, but #FireCarlivati.

Ron is over rated. He killed OLTL and almost killed GH and now Days is in the shitter.

I've never been much of a DAYS watcher, I mainly just watch clips here and there. I always considered NBC soaps to be more cartoon-like than CBS or ABC, but damn the acting in those clips are horrible, as is the writing. Also enjoyed Tripp despite the lack any exciting storylines, and Xander whenever he was on. Ben started out well but got caught in the Cin bubble, which made him boring and repetitive. R557 Tristin was Chambo's Emmy date last year. They haven't been seen together again ever since. I think it's safe to assume it was a one-time special occasion date and nothing more. I could believe Chambo is straight if people insist he is, but a good-looking guy with no real gf at his age is kind of telling a different story.

Looks like Monday and Tuesday will be Chambo/WilSon days... But Will will be talked about the rest of the week as his loved ones try to save him. Sami and Lucas return the week after.

Eve did steal it from the hospital, but Xander took it from her back in January when he left town. So the show has already shown he has the diary. Most likely the diary will save Tumor Will since Will is still alive by year's end.

Why would Will mention Paul? Really. Will himself mentioned the potential for side effects. Kayla, Marlena and Paul mentioned the potential for side effects- and all warned him. Hoping for the best, he told them all he was willing to take this risk. He wanted to remember his life, including Sonny. That was last year. So what show are some of you watching, where you think all this has come out of left field? Will and Paul are split up. Paul is no longer a part of this story. Both have moved on. I have zero urge to smack Will. And for all we know he did mention Paul, since Will did admit to taking the second dose. Under Ron, most of the beats take place off-screen. Nevermind what ends up on the cutting room floor in editing. True for all the characters.

I have given WilSon a chance since Paul left. But this show is failing in its gay storyline. We have two twenty-something gay guys stuck in a silly and boring tumor melodrama that would only appeal to the Frauen, and even the bed scenes they had were dull as hell, because all they could do was lie there like some eldergay couple since one of them was so out of shape. Actually, I would rather see a fantasy Leo/Will bed scene because you know forty-something GR has a better body and would be totally into it.

If you notice in the promo, Sonny is fully dressed and bringing Will a tray of breakfast food. So that is not a bed scene.

R590 They did have some bed scenes around Valentine's Day that were underwhelming! But now that Sonny is starting to look decent again. They better get Will cured of the pesky tumor, so they can finally have a decent bed scene like an actual young gay couple. But I am not getting any hopes up.
