The cancers caused by HPV can be easily treated if caught early and treated APPROPRIATELY. The more spread / invasive the cancer, the more challenging the treatment.

Anal cancer is caused by an hpv infection. It does not cause colon or rectal cancer. The rectum is higher up than the anus. The one who said semen infected with hpv can cause anal cancer hasn't a clue. Hpv in an in situ infection where one person with the infection spreads it and a lesion develops exactly where there was the original contact. A wart may develop (in the case of an anal infection) and often it resolves on it's own. More rarely it develops into dysplasia or a precancerous condition. And some of those go on to become cancers. But it's rare, though more common in gay/bi men particularly if they have HIV as that impairs their ability to fight the infection.
